It's great for light application - not sticky at all and feels weightless on the skin I'm not sure about any downsides since I've been using it well, but I suppose it might depend on how you apply it - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDec 26, 2021
The generous amount is perfect for liberal use. When I don't know what else to apply, I just reach for this. After application, it doesn't fully absorb into the skin and leaves a feeling of sitting on top of the skin. - tl****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 20, 2020
The hydration and application are quite nice, and it feels incredibly refreshing... Unfortunately, as time passes, it starts to pill and flake off... - jh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 6, 2020
It's pretty decent. The absorption is remarkably quick. It feels a bit light, and the hydration doesn't seem to penetrate deeply. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 8, 2020
I love how it deeply hydrates my skin, and even though I have oily skin, it seems to suit me really well After using it, I feel a slight tightness on my skin. Also, the product itself is quite watery, making it challenging to apply and go out immediately - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 19, 2019
I'm on my third bottle now and it's absolutely amazing. Applying it to my body after a shower is pure bliss. It feels like it gets used up quickly and there's a slight sensation of dryness not long after application. Mixing it with a thicker cream works wonders. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 24, 2019
True to its soothing gel nature, when first applied, the hydration felt on the skin is neither lacking nor excessively melting upon contact - it's just right. Unlike the traditional cylindrical soothing gels, you can squeeze and use this one, so there's no waste from scooping it out with your hands. While it looked gentle, cool, and refreshing, after applying, it felt cool at first but then caused a slight stinging and burning sensation on my face. When I first bought and applied it, my skin was a bit sensitive with some blemishes, so I hoped for a calming effect. However, areas around my eyes, sides of my nose, and around my mouth felt tingly, and the skin outside my lips seemed to swell. Looking in the mirror, I noticed my skin had turned slightly red. Being prone to sensitive skin, I thought it might be an adjustment period. When I tried it again two days later, there were no major issues, and it provided good hydration. For me, when I apply this product right after cleansing, it feels like I've put on a moisturizing mask, but once it dries completely, my skin feels desert-dry. So, I apply my basic toner, emulsion, and cream, and once those have somewhat absorbed, I use this gel last to lock in moisture and seal in the previously applied products. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 30, 2019
I've been using this product for several years now. As someone with atopic skin since infancy and super sensitive skin, I've always wanted to use a soothing gel but reacted to aloe ingredients. This is a precious find that I'm truly grateful for! It's become a staple in my summer skincare routine. I usually use Avène products and typically do better with fragrance-free options, so I find the scent of this a bit strong for my liking. - be****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 27, 2019
The fragrance is lovely, and it's not sticky at all. It feels light and easy to apply. Personally, I can't think of any downsides. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 22, 2019
I've been using this product quite well. After showering, I prefer to finish with a soothing gel like this rather than a body emulsion. I really like it because it's much less slippery and seems to have a calming effect on my skin. I was a bit disappointed that it doesn't seem to provide as much hydration to the skin as I'd hoped.
