The texture is delightfully bouncy and incredibly hydrating. When applied before an emulsion or cream, it helps maintain moisturized skin even in winter. There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product. The dropper works well, and despite being in a glass container, it's relatively lightweight. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 28, 2019
I can't really pinpoint anything particularly good about it... Maybe the hydration is decent? I bought it cheaply through Naver, but honestly, I'm not sure if it's any good. These days, I'm just applying a tiny bit to the ends of my hair. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 28, 2019
I'm being completely honest when I say this hydrating product is the only one I've consistently purchased with my own money, not because it was given to me for free. As you can see from my photos, my skin was so blemish-prone it looked almost sickly. I'm truly grateful to the person who introduced me to this product. There are no downsides, which is almost disappointing because it's just that good. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the lid comes off a bit too easily. I use this after applying cleansing water, before the skin and emulsion steps. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 30, 2018
It's moisturizing and absorbs instantly. When my skin feels dry, it's like it's being replenished from within. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. There's nothing particularly bad about it. However, the effects don't seem to last very long, probably because it absorbs so quickly. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 12, 2018
It creates a hydrating barrier that lets your makeup glow beautifully. The essence-like texture provides enough moisture to use comfortably throughout all four seasons. I'm disappointed they no longer sell the US-made version. I'm hesitant to buy the Korean-manufactured one. - jo**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinMar 28, 2018
I bought this product when my skin became very dry due to seasonal changes and fine dust, and I was looking for hydration. True to its name as a hydrating serum, it fulfills its function well. Due to the hyaluronic acid, the finish is semi-matte like other serum products, but the best part is that it effectively addresses deep dryness that moisturizers can't solve. As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, my skin lacks moisture and produces excess oil, leading to dead skin cells and comedonal acne. So, my main focus is on exfoliation, blemishes, and hydration. I would recommend this to people like me who: 1) Think it might be good to add an extra step to their routine because it's been too dry lately, 2) Need a bit more moisture management regardless of skin type - whether it's combination dehydrated, combination, or dry skin - to suit the season or their skin condition. While I have no complaints about the product's effectiveness, the dropper is definitely inconvenient and needs improvement. It's a bit of a hassle having to do it twice because it doesn't come out completely. Also, the 100ml container is quite heavy. 1) You can purchase this at a much lower price on the official website or Naver Shopping. I inquired about it before when I had trouble buying, and they said that while it's discontinued on the official website, they'll be releasing a renewed version soon. So for now, use Naver Shopping! 2) I manage my skin in this order: essence (or toner) - serum - hydrating moisturizer - oil-based cream. It's good to apply even a small amount of oil-based cream (like Physiogel) to lock in moisture. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 16, 2018
This is great for calming blemishes. I'm on my second bottle because I love it so much. I'm also using other vitamin products and SK-II alongside it. Nothing negative to report yet... except maybe the price? Haha! This product works wonders for soothing blemishes. I'm already on my second bottle because it's so effective. I'm also incorporating other vitamin products and SK-II into my skincare routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 27, 2018
As an adult, I started getting acne that I never had even during puberty. I tried this product on a friend's recommendation. While the effects weren't immediate, I noticed gradual improvement. I'm quite satisfied with the results. The downside was that it felt like it dried out quickly, so I made sure to apply a hydrating moisturizer afterwards. - kj*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinFeb 26, 2018
When my skin feels dry, I layer toner + Dermacell Galac~ + this product, followed by a moisturizer. This combination seems to really boost hydration. It doesn't absorb quickly, so you need to pat it in until it's fully absorbed and your skin feels smooth. Otherwise, it tends to pill... - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 27, 2017
For combination dehydrated skin with acne and sensitivity: Winter arrived, and with the heater on, my skin became incredibly dry. Despite having oily skin, my cheeks felt parched and my redness intensified. While pondering what to do, my cousin recommended this product. After cleansing and applying 3-4 layers of toner, I use this followed by a cream to finish. The results are amazing! When I wash my face in the morning, I'm in awe. My skin looks so good! Slightly exaggerating, when I apply this at night, I feel like I've transformed into Jung Yu-mi from 'Hada Labo'! My makeup also applies beautifully in the morning. I used to believe in minimizing skincare products and providing oil for combination dehydrated skin, so I only used toner and a rich cream. But after experiencing this hydration, I realized how much I'd been neglecting moisture. I've been living wrong! The deep hydration that rises from within... I'd only heard about it, but now I'm experiencing it myself. I'd never seen results with hyaluronic acid before, so I didn't expect much, just hoping it wouldn't cause blemishes. But I read a Hwahae review suggesting to provide moisture for it to attract. So, I prepped my skin well with toner before applying, and wow... it gives such a dewy glow! My rough, toad-like skin texture has significantly improved. I've learned firsthand that hydration is key for those tiny bumps. Especially around my nose and cheeks - when this area looks clear, it creates an illusion of overall better skin! Of course, I didn't expect it to, and it didn't reduce my acne. However, the red spots that do appear seem to lose their fight quickly after getting hydrated and subside faster. That's when I fell in love with this product. Even if new ones pop up, having one red spot is better than two, right? First, the transparent lid... it just sits on top, so I keep forgetting and picking it up by the lid, causing it to fall. Of course, this is partly due to my forgetfulness and carelessness... The slippery & sticky texture might not be for everyone. It's fine when massaging in, but feels sticky when patting. Some reviews said it's like water, and while it spreads well, I was skeptical. Once absorbed, it's not sticky, but... when you layer cream on top, you feel that... heaviness again! A heavy moisture feeling! It's not light and fresh. Well, if used alone, it might feel light and fresh, but no. It's not enough. Definitely not. Even for oily skin, it's insufficient on its own. Also, a major disappointment is that while it greatly improved my bumpy skin texture, I still get two or three small bumps on my cheeks and forehead that come and go. It's unpredictable - good for some bumps while causing others... I already have acne, and I don't mind the occasional white pimples that don't leave scars. The hydration is so good that I'll stick with it this winter, but I'm hesitant about repurchasing. Oh, and it pills under my Double Wear foundation. I only use it at night.. ------------------- Adding after another month of use: These days, I use just one drop on each cheek - exactly two drops total! There's almost no stickiness, and I'm not getting those small acne bumps anymore. Seems like controlling the amount was key. Anyway, even with just one drop each, it's still a no-go with liquid foundation.
