ConsThe scent is not great Even after applying generously, it feels dry in winter Planning to use it as a body lotion instead Expensive considering the ingredients...

I'm not sure about its effectiveness, but it's great for light application.
ConsAlthough it's pricey, it seems too light for winter use.

Lightweight texture (slightly fluid cream formula that absorbs well) 3. Perfect as a summer moisturizer!
ConsWhile it absorbs quickly upon contact with the skin, the slightly matte finish may feel drying for those with very dry skin (this review is based on use during winter and cold, dry seasons)
TipFor cold and dry seasons at night: It works well when applied after using a rich toner and essence, with some time in between. For morning use before makeup: Apply an essence stick (like the discontinued ISOI stick, now only available in tube form) on areas prone to dryness such as around the mouth and eyes. Then, layer Jung Saem Mool's water cream all over the face for a perfect combination!

The scent is absolutely delightful! While it might be a bit light for winter, it's perfect as a day cream during warmer seasons. Highly recommended!
ConsFor those with dry skin types, this might feel a bit drying. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found it a bit challenging.

The fragrance is also pleasantly subtle.
ConsI was disappointed to find out it contains benzophenone. I bought it because it was marketed as a 'flight attendant cream' with good ingredients, but now I'm a bit let down.

Absorbs well: True to its nature as a hydrating cream, it absorbs quickly upon application. It has a slight richness that leaves a subtle oily sheen on the face, but without feeling greasy, which I liked. Moisturizing effect: As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I've found that products with only hydration can cause surface dryness. I've tried various products, and among the hydrating creams I've used, this one has enough richness to prevent severe surface dryness. However, using it alone feels a bit light and slightly insufficient. Scent: Honestly, the best thing about Guinot products was the fragrance. Every time I applied it, I enjoyed the gentle, subtle, long-lasting scent that I hadn't experienced with other cosmetics. However, when I searched for Guinot on Hwahae and saw the red flag warning about the high content of fragrances, I was disappointed and decided to try other products, which is why I'm writing this review.
ConsHarmful ingredients: I expected a product as expensive as Guinot to be free of harmful ingredients. As an international brand, highly rated and sold at a premium in many skincare shops, I trusted it. Finding out it contains harmful ingredients was disappointing. I guess the price is inflated. This experience has made me realize the importance of knowing the exact ingredients I'm using. Price: Guinot belongs to the high-end range of cosmetic lines. A serum costs around $300, and a cream is usually about $100. Despite this, I had been using only Guinot products until now, although the price was quite burdensome. If I had known about the high content of harmful ingredients, I wouldn't have used it. From now on, I'll make better use of the Hwahae app.
TipAs someone who majored in skin science and worked in a skincare shop, I've always been interested in skincare. My skincare journey began in high school when acne concerns led me to start studying the subject. Through my studies, I learned that expensive cosmetics aren't always the best and that ingredients are crucial. Since then, I've experimented on my own skin in various ways. What I've realized is that everyone's skin is different, so it's essential to develop your own routine and maintain it consistently. Even the best product is useless if it doesn't suit you, so it's best to try different products and methods to find what works for you. Skin types can change with age and environment. While there are basic categories like normal, dry, oily, sensitive, and combination skin, there are many subtypes. It's crucial to use products that match your skin as it changes and as seasons shift. The most important aspect is cleansing! I believe that properly removing makeup is more important than using basic skincare products. Thorough cleansing with the right products opens up the pores, allowing better absorption of skincare products. That's why I focus more on cleansing than on applying makeup. My skin type is combination dehydrated, so I mainly use products with high moisture content. Since too much oil can make my skin feel greasy and prevent makeup from setting, I use hydrating creams that moisturize from within. In summer, I typically use just toner and hydrating cream for a light, fresh finish. From fall through winter and spring, I use toner, serum, and hydrating cream for extra moisture. I believe using too many basic skincare products after cleansing can clog pores, increase sebum production, and hinder the skin's natural regenerative abilities. Therefore, I think using excessive skincare products is wasteful. To all the Hwahae users who have many skin concerns and want to use the right products, I hope you'll try various products, read reviews, develop your own routine, and achieve the good skin you desire.

The product absorbs well into the skin, feeling lightweight.
ConsAs someone with extremely dry and sensitive skin, I found that it absorbed quickly but didn't provide enough hydration. The Guinot Hydrazone feels more nourishing in comparison.

After application, you can feel your skin becoming firm and supple, which is really satisfying. As someone with sensitive skin, my top priority is avoiding blemishes after application, and this product passed that test too! Applying a light moisturizer followed by this Gino Hydrating Cream was absolutely amazing. I have extremely dry skin, and this is the first product that's allowed me to survive winter with just a moisturizer, without needing a rich cream.
ConsWhen used alone, it might feel like it lacks sufficient hydration. Rather than feeling like it deeply moisturizes, it seems to create a protective barrier on the skin's surface. While that's not necessarily bad, if you don't have a solid skincare routine in place, you might find it a bit drying.
TipFor the final step of your routine, try mixing it with jojoba oil for long-lasting hydration!

It feels light and perfect for summer use.
ConsIt seems to lack any real hydration. The finish is too matte, and if I use this alone in winter, my skin feels tight and dry.
TipFor winter, it works well when used together with facial oil.
