Great cleansing power! It even removes eyeliner. The price is reasonable too. I usually get blemishes from cleansing oils, so I only use water-based cleansers. This one doesn't cause any blemishes and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. It can sting a bit if it gets into your eyes while cleansing. Just be careful with that and it's fine. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 10, 2023
Despite its water-like consistency, this cleanser is surprisingly effective. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, as if I've done a thorough double cleanse, without causing any blemishes. I didn't have any major issues with it. It was quite useful. However, when I used it exclusively every day, I noticed my skin seemed to accumulate sebum more quickly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinNov 15, 2023
I started using this in my mid-20s on a friend's recommendation, and now it's been nearly a decade. I dislike the slippery feel of oils, and many cleansing waters, despite being water-based, tend to be quite oily. This one, however, has a pleasant scent, isn't irritating, and doesn't feel oily. I can wipe my face with 2-3 cotton pads, follow up with a water rinse, and my skin feels fresh without any blemishes. There's absolutely nothing to complain about. I sincerely hope they never discontinue this product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 21, 2021
As someone who wears makeup daily, I always opt for large-sized cleansing waters. This one has lasted me a long time, making it a great value for money product in my opinion. My makeup routine involves sunscreen, cushion foundation, eyebrows, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, and lips - in that order. So when it comes to removal, I need something thorough. Cleansing effectiveness is crucial for me, and this product definitely delivers. While I don't typically experience blemishes, I can't say for certain if this product would cause any for those prone to them. However, I've used it without any issues. I was initially concerned about potential dryness during winter, but my skin hasn't felt dehydrated at all. Overall, it's been a comfortable and reliable product to use. If you're looking for a large-volume cleansing water that's suitable for frequent use and performs well, I highly recommend this one! If I had to nitpick, I'd say it stings if it gets into your eyes, so I always had to be careful about that. Other than that, I used it without any discomfort. You can get this product at an even better price during Nature Republic's sale periods. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 26, 2021
- Cleansing effectiveness: Removes all makeup well When applied to a cotton pad, it effectively removes all facial makeup (eyebrows, skin, eyeliner, lips, etc.) - Hydration: Moisturizing It removes makeup while keeping the skin moisturized, so your face doesn't feel dry after cleansing - Irritation: None I have super sensitive skin, but this product doesn't cause any blemishes, skin tingling, or eye irritation at all! There's really nothing to complain about, but if I MUST pick something... - I wish it came in a pump bottle You have to lift the bottle to apply the cleansing water to a cotton pad, and it's surprisingly heavy. It would be nice if it came with a pump so you don't have to lift the bottle. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2021
My skin type: Oily, acne-prone, sensitive 1. Great value for a large quantity 2. Decent all-rounder - No skin issues after use, but no noticeable improvements either. It's not a specialized treatment, which is actually a plus for its versatility 3. I use this for my first cleanse, followed by a foaming cleanser. Often, when I'm too tired, I've only used this product before bed and my skin has been fine No particular downsides to mention. The bottle is plastic and the product is liquid, which is convenient - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 8, 2021
As a loyal user of this cleansing water, I'm writing this review after using over 5 bottles consistently. My skin type is combination - oily T-zone with dehydrated U-zone, leaning towards dry. I have super sensitive skin that reacts badly to acids, dimethicone, and oils, often resulting in blemishes when using incompatible products. (Despite this product containing potentially harmful ingredients and citric acid, it didn't cause any issues for my skin!) <How I use it> Evening use only: 1. For first cleanse, I apply the cleansing water to a thin cotton pad to remove sunscreen and makeup. 2. Recently, to minimize skin irritation, I've been using a foam dispenser. I apply it directly to my skin like a cleansing oil, gently massaging to remove sunscreen and makeup. 🌀Price & Volume At 510ml, it's a great value at only 15,000 won. Even better, during Nature Republic sales, you can snag it for just over 10,000 won! 🌀After-feel I love that even 1-2 hours after using the cleansing water with a cotton pad, my skin doesn't feel overly dry, even without rinsing. 🌀No blemishes Despite my sensitive skin, I've been able to use 5 bottles without any major breakouts, likely due to thorough double cleansing after use. 🌀Cleansing effectiveness When used with a cotton pad, it seems to remove all makeup except mascara. With a foam dispenser, it's a bit tricky for heavy makeup but works well for sunscreen removal without irritation. 🌀Ingredients It's disappointing that it contains potentially harmful ingredients (PEG, fragrance, phenoxyethanol). I hope they consider reformulating without these in the future! 🌀Eye irritation If it gets in your eyes, it stings so badly it's hard to open them. 🌀Scent The artificial fragrance is a downside for me, as I'm not a fan of added perfumes. I just put up with it since I follow up with foam cleansing anyway. 🌀When using with cotton pads, saturate the pad well and gently wipe off makeup without pressing too hard. Rough wiping can irritate the skin! For eye and lip makeup, use a separate cleansing oil for thorough removal. 🌀Using a foam dispenser allows for a gentler first cleanse. It's especially recommended for those who only wear sunscreen! (Note: It only foams initially and quickly returns to a water-like consistency.) - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 20, 2020
It's affordable, has great cleansing effectiveness, and I've been using it without any blemishes. Among cleansing waters, this is an extremely reliable and satisfactory product. I've been using it without any blemishes at all, so I can't think of any drawbacks for this cleansing product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 15, 2020
I absolutely love this! I'm on my third bottle now. It removes makeup so effortlessly! After using this, I just follow up with soap or cleansing foam, and I'm done! The instructions say you can even sleep right after using it, but I still recommend doing one more cleanse. Though, I'll admit, on those really lazy nights, I sometimes just use this and go to bed. Surprisingly, it doesn't cause any blemishes. Plus, it smells great and doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's simply amazing! I loved that there were no downsides to this product. It was truly a product without any disappointments...!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 3, 2020
This is my holy grail cleansing water! The scent is lovely. It's often on sale, which is a total steal! It doesn't cause any blemishes. I'm on my 5th or 6th bottle now - it's the only one I use. It removes all makeup effortlessly, except for mascara. You can really feel how gentle it is on the skin. There are no downsides whatsoever. If I had to nitpick, maybe the fact that you need to buy cotton pads separately? Olive Young sells multi-layered cotton pads. Using those helps save both the cleansing water and the cotton pads themselves.
