I discovered this product a few years ago, and now I'm using it again after a long time. As always, I'm amazed every time I use it. My skin suddenly becomes incredibly soft. It's absolutely fantastic! The only downside is that it's quite expensive, probably because it's an imported product. Other than that, I'm completely satisfied, honestly! I love how my skin suddenly improves and feels purified. Their cleansing foam is also incredibly good! It makes your skin super soft and bright, almost as if you've had a professional exfoliation treatment at a dermatologist's office. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 28, 2020
This Tingling Exfoliate Pack is what got me hooked on Glam Glow. It tingles and feels a bit rough when applying due to the granules, but I even loved that sensation. It completely absorbs excess oil... As it dries, you can see the sebum rising from your pores, which is so satisfying. However, after checking the ingredients on the Hwahae app today, I think I'll have to stay away from it. It's messy to wash off, and the ingredients, oh the ingredients! I wish it had more skin-friendly components. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 22, 2020
Consistency is key for seeing results. It might sting or feel hot at first, but you'll get used to it. Your skin will become soft and smooth with continued use. It's expensive and now hard to purchase. I like this brand's cleanser too, but it's becoming difficult to buy their products now. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2020
A product that delivers results as impressive as its price point. The smoothness after cleansing is unparalleled, even if you have to endure a bit of tingling. I'm not sure if it's incompatible with my skin, but the tingling sensation right after application is quite intense. While it subsides as it dries and I tolerate it for the benefits, the tingling is just too much. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 29, 2019
The dramatic effects are fantastic! The day after using this, my skin feels so nourished and it's great at removing dead skin cells. When you first apply it, you might be shocked! I initially thought I was having a bad reaction... haha! But it settles down after a while. Just for reference, I had a period of 2-3 years when my face was covered in blemishes, and even then, this product worked wonders for me. Everything's great except for the price... it's quite expensive. However, I think it's worth every penny! - l.********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 1, 2019
* When your skin feels rough or congested Apply this mask generously, gently massage it while washing off, and voila! Your skin becomes incredibly soft. It's so refreshing! (Those with thin, sensitive skin should be careful though. I have pretty resilient skin...) * For blemishes or breakouts (Though it might seem counterintuitive) I apply this when I have red, inflamed acne or after extracting. It quickly reduces redness (feels healing..?) and calms any swelling after extraction. I love it so much! * Honestly, the price is a bit wicked for an everyday purchase. But it's so good, you've got to buy it! Let's grab it at duty-free when traveling abroad!!! * The jar packaging can cause the mask to dry out. Even with double sealing - plastic wrap and the lid - it still dries out for occasional users like me. I'm so excited they now have a 100ml tube version! I first bought this when it was #1 on Sephora's shopping list for my US trip, and I've been using it ever since. I'm not usually one for masks (I don't even do them monthly..), but I make time for this one and keep it stocked! I've used up my current jar and plan to buy more duty-free in two weeks when I travel, but I feel anxious without it. I was so disappointed when it was sold out on a previous trip. This and the white version are my holy grails! I'll review the white one too :) * I've tried the mini kit with light blue, lime green, and purple versions. The green, despite claims of soothing, didn't work as well as the black for me. It even seemed to cause tiny bumps the next day. The purple has a cool silver effect, but I'm not concerned about wrinkles yet. The light blue does seem to help with dryness on flights! * Why isn't the white version on Hwahae? I need to review it too. The white one seems great for oily skin! As someone with combination-oily skin, it's so satisfying when my face feels greasy. As the mask dries, you can see little black dots appear on oily areas - apparently, it's drawing out sebum! Sometimes I use the black mask followed immediately by the white, or the white the day after the black. It's amazing every time! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 11, 2019
After using it, my face feels smooth and has a radiant glow. The dead skin cell removal is really effective too. It's like giving your skin a gentle sanding and then applying a polish - that kind of feeling. At first, I thought the amount was small, but since you use less per application compared to other masks, it actually lasted longer than I expected. It can be a bit intense, so if you have super sensitive skin, you might want to approach it cautiously. While the particles aren't large, they are firm, making the sensation quite strong. There seems to be an essential oil (possibly clove-like) that gives a tingling sensation. This makes your pores feel tighter and your skin feel like it's contracting. While it does have an anti-inflammatory effect and leaves you feeling refreshed, I'm concerned it might be too harsh or potentially aggravate blemishes for those with sensitive skin. The scent is quite strong, but not unpleasant. To avoid the risk of creating fine lines if it dries too much, I found it more comfortable to use before a bath or shower. I gently massage it on while my body is wet, leave it on while shampooing, and then rinse it off. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinAug 2, 2019
Soothing effect: 3 stars Cleansing effectiveness: 5 stars This mud mask definitely lives up to its price. After using it, you can really see the difference in your skin texture. It's evident that it does a great job cleaning out the pores. Your skin feels noticeably refreshed and clearer. I enjoyed the slight cooling sensation, and above all, being a mud mask, it's much easier to wash off compared to scrubs with walnut shells or red beans. The scent was also quite pleasant. The price is a real killer. Not only is it expensive, but the amount you get is disappointingly small. Maybe it's because the regular price is so high, but even when it's on sale, it's still pricey. The sale price is about the same as the regular price of other brands' large-sized wash-off packs. While I might buy it once as a treat, I won't be repurchasing. It's just too expensive. Among wash-off mud masks, this one is easily in the top 3, but price-wise, it's definitely in the top tier. Apply it thinly, but for areas like the T-zone where there's more oil and blackheads tend to accumulate, like the nose, apply it a bit thicker. If you apply it too thinly in these areas, it won't be as effective. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 10, 2019
My skin type: T-zone - oily, U-zone - normal (becomes dry in winter, but I live in Singapore so it stays this way). Apart from some blackheads and blemishes in the T-zone, I have baby-soft skin that's tough as nails. I'm actually using Super Mud, not You So Mud (Super Mud isn't listed, and some others have reviewed it here too, so I'll post my review here). Seriously, for about 3 days after using this, my T-zone feels like a baby's skin! Blackheads fade and oil production decreases. Despite its drawbacks, this product alone deserves 5 stars. I recommend using it once a week. Come to think of it, this is the only real advantage, but it's enough to keep me repurchasing over and over! As mentioned above, the drawbacks are insignificant compared to the benefits, so I'll briefly list them: 1. Not exactly cheap 2. The scrub can be slightly irritating when washing off 3. Effects are somewhat temporary 4. Zero effect on small bumps Use only once a week! Don't apply too thickly, just a moderate layer is enough. (A few days ago, I got greedy and applied it thick, and the effects were much less noticeable) Wash it off when the black mud turns completely gray. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 17, 2019
This seems like a great product, but as a skincare novice, I ended up wasting half of it by slathering it on haphazardly! At first, I thought, 'Did I just apply toothpaste? Ouch, it stings! But they say it works well, so I'll endure it!' After washing it off, I felt like I'd learned a valuable life lesson. The next day, my skin felt so soft that I realized, 'Ah, good products really are good!' However, the next time I applied it, I remembered the discomfort and thought this might not be for the faint-hearted. It took me three tries to notice the different textures each time. I was confused, thinking 'Wait, why?' Turns out, I was seeing results despite using it incorrectly. No wonder it hardened as soon as I applied it! Skincare novices beware: don't just slather it on like a regular mask, or you'll regret it! There are bits in it, but the amount is tiny for the price. It hardens quickly, making you wonder, 'Why is this product testing me?' Read the instructions carefully, folks. Don't be lazy and use it however you want like I did. Was I the only one? Remember, always follow the exact usage instructions for cosmetics and medications. Still, you get what you pay for with this pricey product...
