Even though it's the same lead, I think the pencil type draws better. And the pencil had a better grip feel when drawing than the auto-type.
And while the pencil could be used until the entire pencil was used up, the auto could only use the visible part at the top, so it was used up faster, which was disappointing in terms of cost.
At one time, I was obsessed with Shu Uemura and bought several, but the durability was not good, so I often heard rattling sounds or they would come apart, and the part where the refill is inserted would often get damaged, which was inconvenient.

The existing pencil-type hard formula was inconvenient because I had to go for sharpening service, but the new product is convenient as I only need to replace the auto refill.
The color I purchased was a bright brown dyed hair color from Akon, and it was a neutral color that was good for general use.
The auto-type also had a screw brush at the back, so it was good to use as a portable one.

I've been using the Yoai eyebrow pencil for 8 years now. Even though it has a price tag, I feel it's actually quite affordable compared to other brow pencils because I've been using it for so long. It's smooth and applies nicely. It can create both natural-looking and bold eyebrows.

The price is a bit expensive..?
It doesn't seem much different from regular eyebrow products, so it's just so-so.

When I want to draw more detailed lines, I use the Benefit Precisely, My Brow pencil together. 
Shade 3 is similar to the Akon color.

I was hesitant to buy the mechanical pencil sharpener because it seemed like a hassle, but I've been using the automatic version for a few years now.
Refilling it is easy, and considering how much product I used to waste by sharpening, the cost-effectiveness isn't too bad.
It's a classic for a reason...
It's sturdy, applies color smoothly and builds up nicely, so even beginners can control the application.
You don't need to sharpen it to a fine point to get a thin line.
As long as you don't rub it, the staying power is good too.
I tried other products, but in the end, I always come back to this one.

These days, I don't do a lot of color makeup, so I'm very satisfied with just applying this brow product neatly when I do light makeup.

I usually brush the brows in the direction of growth with the spoolie, then fill in with the brow pencil, and brush through again with the spoolie - it comes out looking so clean!

Be careful when choosing the shade! The auto hard formula comes in various colors, so I recommend selecting the one that suits you best.

Longevity: The eyebrows are well-maintained, but I didn't feel like they were significantly faded even after being out for a long time. It gives a 'still looking good' feeling.

Texture: It applies smoothly and softly. But it applies best when your skin has some oil or makeup on it!

Design: The twist-up feature, which is a key advantage of an auto pencil! This was actually the biggest reason I bought it. And personally, I use the spoolie brush well, so having it attached makes it easy to brush through and gives a more polished look! Even if it gets too intense after applying, you can brush it out with the brush for a more even distribution.

No breakouts: As a sensitive, acne-prone skin type, I haven't experienced any issues with this brow product.

Recommended for: Those who find regular hard formula difficult or troublesome to sharpen! The auto formula is very smooth and convenient.

First of all, the price is too high, and it feels like it runs out quickly. I think this might be because the tip isn't super sharp and the contact area is quite large... And since it's a Japanese product, I ended up switching to something else. If not for that, I would have continued using it.

As someone who was just starting to draw eyebrows, this was an excellent product for me. It was easy to apply, had great color payoff, and had good staying power. Moreover, unlike drugstore products, the color matched my hair color perfectly and created a natural-looking brow. I stuck with this product for several years.

If you use powder on your eyebrows and then draw with this, the staying power becomes super strong.

The price... the refill is 23,000 won, of course it lasts 6 months, but the downside of the auto type is that the core gets blunt, so when you sharpen it, you feel like you're wasting some of it!

There's no need to say much about Shu Uemura. I used to use the Nature Republic pencil type before, but that product didn't erase very well either, and there was a bit of clumping, but this is completely clump-free and zero smudging.
People praise Shu Uemura for good reason. The pencil type seemed like a hassle to sharpen, so I took advantage of the duty-free opportunity and bought the auto type, and the screw in the back also seems more convenient to me personally. I think I used it for 6-7 months. Now I think I'll stick with this for my eyebrows.
