Perfect match for warm undertones! I've already repurchased this 3-4 times because it suits me so well, even though I usually can't pull off bright coral-pinks. It's a must-have for those with deep, muted undertones. If you're warm-toned but struggle with even a hint of pink, this Modest shade could be your holy grail. It's like the last frontier of coral - making me think, 'Wow, I can actually wear coral?!' The shade is more of a coral-brown or coral-beige. Sadly, it's been discontinued, which is heartbreaking because this unique color is so hard to find. Being a matte formula, it can make your lips feel slightly shrunken. After eating, only the lip line remains, and it tends to emphasize dry patches. However, the Fluid Velvet line in Modest doesn't give the same color payoff I'm looking for. I put up with these issues because the color is absolutely worth it. The reason I'm reviewing a discontinued lip product... I know there are people looking for something similar to Modest. I went to Olive Young yesterday and compared everything with my Modest. Even shades that looked similar turned out to be brighter, pinker, or more orange when swatched. Finding a dupe is like catching a unicorn! But try 3CE's Walk and Talk. While not an exact match, it fulfills everything you'd expect from Modest - that perfect brightness, warmth, and vibe. It even feels more comfortable on the lips. For warm-toned folks with 23 skin who found Modest unflattering, try using a lighter base (like shade 22) to brighten your complexion first. It'll likely suit you much better then! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2020
A fantastic MLBB item for warm skin tones! I bought it after seeing Espoir at Olive Young and wow, it's so pretty... The color might look questionable at first, but once applied, it's gorgeous! It's a subtle coral-orange with a hint of beige - perfect for daily wear. Highly recommended, especially for fall, winter, and early spring! I haven't found a lip product that perfectly matches this shade, but other Espoir lip colors come close. It's the ultimate effortlessly chic item! While it's not a stiff formula and has a nice creamy texture, it dries matte after application. It can emphasize dead skin cells when your lips are dry, which is unfortunate since it's meant to be a fall/winter daily item, and those seasons are particularly dry. The gradation of color is beautiful though, so that makes up for it. Oh, and my cool-toned friends didn't like it when they tried mine - they said it made them look sallow. When you want to glam it up a bit, mix this shade with the (Red Brick) color from the same line - it's absolutely stunning! Since the Modest shade isn't too vibrant and has a muted tone with not-so-great staying power, you can use Modest as a base and dab Red Brick on the inner part of your lips, or just blend them together for a full lip look. Both ways look beautiful!
