The color payoff is fantastic! The application is smooth! The shade is perfect! My skin is quite thin, with visible blood vessels on my face, but I absolutely love the color! While everything else is great, there's a slight stickiness for some reason. You'll need to be careful with the amount you apply. - kd*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 30, 2021
I stumbled upon this product while swatching in-store and decided to buy it! True to its name, it's incredibly moisturizing, making it perfect for winter use. If you can find the right shade for your complexion, it's absolutely ideal. The downside is that because it's more hydrating than other products, it tends to wear off easily. Unfortunately, the staying power is quite short. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedOct 16, 2020
I bought this because I loved the color, and I've been using it consistently ever since. The staying power could be a bit better, but everything else about it is great. - ny*******Oily SkinRecommendedAug 27, 2020
This tint has a nice glow that's perfect for winter cool-toned skin. It's a slightly deep, plum-tinted pink shade. I love that the staining effect is similar to the original color. I wish it had a prettier glow, but since it's an older product, I can understand. It would be great if they could upgrade the formula while keeping the same color, but realistically, shades like this don't sell well anymore. - qk**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 21, 2020
It's easy to apply smoothly and effortlessly. Really convenient for quick application. The only downside might be that the tint tends to stay only on the inner part of the lips. But honestly, there's nothing to complain about! - ke*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 18, 2020
The color is absolutely gorgeous, and the dewy glow is fantastic. When you layer it, it's a total mood-maker! While it's moisturizing, the staying power is a bit intense... It's quite challenging to remove, unfortunately. Apply a nude or dusty rose shade as your base, then dab this on the inner part of your lips. Gently press your lips together, and voila! You've got a stunning look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 1, 2019
The color is quite unique - a pink with a strong purple undertone. It's said to be particularly flattering for winter cool skin tones. The 'Ink The Velvet' line stains the lips unevenly, resulting in a messy, patchy look as it wears off. I have absolutely no intention of repurchasing. - le*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 17, 2019
It's perfect for summer, and in winter I mix it with a touch of red lip color. This is my holy grail lipstick - it's moisturizing enough, has great color payoff, and excellent staying power. Surprisingly, it's not sticky but still hydrating, which is amazing. I've tried YSL, MAC, Chanel, and Giorgio Armani, but who would've thought that the affordable Peripera would become my ultimate lip product? Well, the longevity is good, but it fades in a messy way. It seems to leave a whitish cast on my lips. - yo*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 29, 2019
I'm a winter cool tone, shade 21. I bought this from an open market during a 50% off sale in 2019. Pros: 1. Color: Perfect magenta pink for winter cool tones It's the borderline purple shade that even I, who doesn't like deep colors, can pull off 2. Application: The slightly viscous water tint formula makes gradient application easy 3. Longevity: True to Peripera tints, the staying power is phenomenal 1. Ingredients: Peripera tints generally don't have the best ingredients... Those with sensitive skin might want to avoid this 2. Not very moisturizing: While not as drying as water tints, it's less hydrating than other glossy tints I own... It falls short of the 'Ink the Velvet' name - you'll need additional moisturizer 3. Staining: The staining is as intense as its longevity While summer cool tones could use it, I'd especially recommend it for winter cool tones! If you prefer glossy lips, you'll need some extra hydration. 1. Glass-like shine. As a Summer Mute, this is the perfect texture for me. Generally speaking, Summer types are said to suit transparent textures. After application, the glass-like shine is absolutely stunning. 2. Watery texture, no dryness. Compared to Peripera's Velvet series, which tends to set and dry out over time, Ink the Airy Velvet maintains its initial feel. Even with multiple layers, you don't get that crusty feeling where you need to peel off dried product. 3. Long-lasting despite the moisturizing effect. Being a hydrating water tint, it naturally doesn't last as long as velvet lip tints, but it still has impressive staying power. Usually, water tints disappear in 10-20 minutes, but Ink the Airy Velvet lasts about 3-4 hours on my lips. That's fine since you can always reapply! Considering velvet lip tints last 6-7 hours, you can expect about half that longevity. 4. Color. According to a YouTuber colorist's analysis, shade #5 Soul Attack is a 'Winter Bright'. When swatched, it's a 'purple-pink'. As a Summer Mute, I choose lip colors from Spring Light, Summer Light, and Winter Bright palettes. I bought this based on swatches I saw on YouTube and blogs, thinking it might suit me, and it really does! If the color were any deeper, it might make my face look dull, but it's a beautifully balanced purple-pink shade. 5. Affordable price. As of June 5, 2019, it's available on the official website at a 50% discount, priced at 4,500 won. If there's one downside, it seems to be that it's being discontinued... The Club Clio stores near me stopped selling it a while ago, and when I asked, they said it was discontinued. You can only purchase it from the website now. Looking at their new releases, they seem to be focusing on 'matte' finishes, but I wish they'd continue to offer a variety of transparent texture lip products too. I ordered from the website in June 2019 and received a product manufactured in July 2018. It looks like they might have stopped production after July 2018 with plans to discontinue.
