It's the best. It's truly semi-matte, but how to describe it... Silky... Luxurious... The thin and transparent skin finish is incredibly beautiful... It's like a budget-friendly version of Giorgio Armani foundation! I really love it so much... I plan to repurchase after finishing the first bottle. And the fact that it doesn't flake on my dry skin is amazing. Tone: - The tone is perfect! It's neither too yellow nor too pink-based, which I love! Longevity: - I'm not sure if it's great, but it's not bad either. It's just adequate. You do need to touch up with a cushion throughout the day, but it's not unwearable. Considering how thin it is, it's acceptable! Coverage: - If you're looking to buy this for coverage, don't! It doesn't have much coverage... It somewhat covers dark circles, but... Anyway, it's not a high-coverage product.
ConsLongevity and coverage: But considering the formula, I use it knowing it can't be helped. Honestly, there's probably no foundation in the world that has it all... Each has its pros and cons! Packaging: It's too heavy... It seems to be glass? Very inconvenient for travel! So I transfer it to an empty container. The material also feels a bit harsh... Why on earth is this being discontinued? It took me quite a while to finish one bottle as I rotate between several products, and it was such a popular item that I never dreamed it would be discontinued... Sigh.
TipThe skin appearance is beautiful even when applied with fingers... But I recommend not using a damp puff as it absorbs too much product... Just a regular sponge or puff is recommended!

The color is absolutely beautiful too.
ConsEvery time I use it, I get a barrage of tiny blemishes. Maybe it's because of my acne-prone skin...

I don't usually use concealer separately, so I applied it with a sponge rather than my fingers. It spreads thinly and evenly with just a small amount! It felt a bit pricey since I bought it with my part-time job earnings, but I've been using it for over a year now (though I'm not sure about the expiration date).
ConsIt's really great, but there was a ti~ny bit of dead skin cells showing. I tend to be lazy and just slap it on quickly, plus I'm not very thorough with my skincare routine, so that could be why. But if you apply it with a damp sponge, you'll get flawless skin!
TipA damp sponge works best, forget about anything else. Even the ones from Daiso are amazing.

The Silk version is especially great for summer.
ConsHowever, if you have dry skin in winter, you might experience deep dryness unless you apply a generous amount of base product (almost to excess). For those with dry skin, I'd recommend the Glow version over Silk during winter months.

It didn't cause any blemishes on my skin, which was nice. There's also a good variety of shades available.
ConsI don't think it has enough advantages to make me want to repurchase it. Also, with the new release of the Be Silk and Be Glow versions, I'm not sure what the unique selling point of this one is anymore.

The product quality speaks for itself. If you want more coverage, apply two thin layers with a dry air puff - it gives a dewy glow while providing decent coverage! For those who prefer a natural look, use a damp sponge for one layer, and you'll achieve flawless skin!
ConsThe price feels a bit higher compared to other drugstore brands. However, the product quality is absolutely top-notch! Espoir foundation is a trustworthy purchase!
TipDon't forget to shake well before use! Apply a thin layer with your fingers, then pat it in with a puff for amazing adherence to the skin.

Also, even though my complexion is quite uneven, it evens out my skin tone in one go, which is fantastic! I've been using it consistently.
ConsThe downside is that while it's moisturizing, it can be hard to touch up when it gets messy in summer. However, if you use a setting spray and take care of it, it becomes manageable. As a student who spends a lot of time outdoors, I find myself having to touch up frequently.
TipIf you spray mist often and set it well with a powder puff due to its rich texture, you can make it last longer.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsIt applies thinly and, most importantly, has great staying power. The color is beautifully pigmented and brightens my complexion. I didn't get any blemishes, so I'll likely use it often.
ConsThe color range isn't very wide, making it difficult to choose a shade. Without setting it with powder, it looks as shiny as bacon grease.

It does not become too thick even when applied multiple times.
ConsThe coverage is a bit lacking. But since it is moisturizing, asking for better coverage might be too much to expect...

It applies thinly and smoothly, making the skin look plump and even. That's why the skin looks great! The color is also pretty and it applies without being too thick. There's no caking or flaking when it wears off.
ConsThe coverage is light. You'll need a concealer to cover blemishes and dark circles. And since it applies thinly, the staying power is relatively short. It applies moisturizing, but there may be some dryness, so those with dry skin or on days when your skin condition isn't great will need to make sure your base is well-prepped!
TipApply the foundation following the grain of the skin on the face, excluding the edges, using a foundation brush (the Espoir exclusive brush). Then, evenly absorb it using a mist or makeup fixing sponge.
