  Pros

  1. Design First off, the design is slim and long, making it super portable and absolutely gorgeous! The slender shape allows for precise application on the lips. Compared to other chubby lip balms, this one's design is truly a standout. 2. Scent It smells delicious! There's a sweet aroma that's hard to describe... maybe cherry? It's not overpowering or too faint, just a subtle, pleasant fragrance that I absolutely adore! 3. Hydration The main reason we use lip balms, right? To keep our lips hydrated! This one does the job well and has decent staying power too. 4. Dead skin cell management With my previous lip balm, I'd exfoliate before bed, only to have a dead skin explosion by the next afternoon. Surprisingly, this one doesn't let dead skin build up! If I exfoliate before bed and apply this, my lips stay smooth and hydrated until the next day.

  Cons

  1. Stickiness While it's hydrating, it doesn't have a smooth finish. It's a bit sticky! When you rub your lips together, it doesn't glide smoothly. There's a slight tackiness that feels a bit heavy. When you press your lips together, they stick a bit before separating. It's not extremely sticky, but if you dislike any stickiness, this might bother you. 2. Color I usually go out bare-faced and bought this for a natural look. However... there's no visible difference in lip color when applied. The subtle tint is nice, but there's no noticeable change! When swatched on the back of my hand, there's a slight pink tint, but on the lips, it's like magic - no effect at all! I wish it had just a bit more color payoff. 3. Ingredients I came to Hwahae to write a review and was shocked. What's with these ingredients? Potential for genetic abnormalities and allergies? DNA damage and cancer risk when exposed to sunlight? While some color additives might be unavoidable, it's concerning for a lip product that's likely to be ingested. The ingredient list makes me quite uneasy.

  Pros

  The design is slim and pretty. The price is also affordable. It has a subtle, shimmering pink shade that was exactly the color I wanted.

  Cons

  This is the worst lip product I've ever tried. The long-shaped lip balms from Nivea have terrible hydration. On chapped lips, it feels like you're just applying oil. At first, it seems moisturizing, but after a few minutes, it feels like only grease remains. Moreover, when you apply this, it causes severe dead skin cells on your lips. It feels slippery yet rough at the same time. To make matters worse, if you keep it in a warm indoor space during winter, it breaks easily, so you have to apply it very gently.

  Tip

  If you're not concerned about hydration and just want a subtle color, I'd recommend this. If only the hydration was better, I would have used it religiously. Such a shame!
