As a guy, I occasionally wear makeup for important events. I used to use CC cream, but due to darkening issues, I switched to the Ultra HD Foundation. When choosing a foundation, my top priorities were a natural look and avoiding blemishes. I tried many products, but it was challenging to find one that satisfied both criteria. After much trial and error, I finally settled on this product. It matches my skin tone perfectly, giving a natural appearance. (Of course, when I say natural, I mean compared to other foundations - it doesn't look like I'm not wearing makeup at all.) It applies smoothly and has decent coverage. However, if you're dealing with major skin issues and coverage is your top priority, you might want to consider other options. Everything else is fine, but personally, there's one thing I wish was different: the shade. I can't help but think it would be perfect if the tone was just a tiny bit darker. After application, my skin looks slightly lighter than my natural complexion, which always leaves me a bit unsatisfied. The shade range seems diverse, yet somehow limited at the same time... Some people skip sunscreen because their foundation has SPF, but I found that applying sunscreen before foundation actually prevented blemishes. (Before this, I would break out every time I wore makeup.) Since then, I always protect my skin with sunscreen before applying foundation. If you consistently experience breakouts after wearing makeup, give this method a try! - 17*****Combination SkinOct 16, 2016
I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and sides of the nose. I've been using this since the HD version. Overall, I see many reviews saying the coverage is lacking, but it was sufficient for me as I don't have many blemishes besides pores. Although it has a fluid texture, it sets to a powdery finish when it adheres to the skin. I was satisfied with both the skin texture and adherence. Above all, this product makes your skin look beautiful when it starts to get a bit dewy. I definitely received many compliments on my skin. Its strongest point is that it gives a 'my skin but better' look rather than heavy coverage, making it appear as if you naturally have good skin. While its natural look is a plus (which I personally liked), it might be a drawback for those who prioritize coverage. Strangely though, with consistent use, I noticed small blemishes gradually appearing. It adheres well regardless of the application method, but using a brush instead of a puff can help compensate for its weakness in coverage. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 13, 2016
As a guy, I find this absorbs well with a nice hydration level. Seems worth the price. The fine particles mean you need to be thorough when cleansing. The coverage isn't particularly impressive... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 28, 2016
It looks natural in sunlight. The coverage is excellent. It's matte and adheres well to the skin. If you have combination to oily skin and want good coverage, this seems like a great choice. It appears a bit cakey under artificial lighting. There's a slight darkening effect. Not recommended for dry skin. I chose this shade, which is one tone lighter than my complexion, for a natural brightening effect, but it doesn't look natural under artificial light. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2016
I have combination skin, and while I don't have perfect skin, I don't have a lot of blemishes either - just average skin. I use shade 23, which is for darker skin tones. I don't have redness on my face, but I prefer foundations with a slightly yellow undertone (which this one has). The color matches my darker skin tone very well, making it look natural - that's a big plus. (On days when I want to brighten my complexion, I use a different foundation.) The best thing about this product is its fine texture and how well it absorbs. It has decent coverage, though it's not dramatically high. It's low on oil, but not drying at all... For me, it's just right. There's a bit of darkening, but if you apply it in thin layers two or three times when doing your makeup in the morning, it seems much less noticeable.
