Since I have oily skin, the hydration lasts for a long time. When I apply it generously before bed, I don't need to use many other skincare products. It seems great for use during seasonal changes or in winter when your skin feels dry. The scent isn't as strong as I expected. There's a slight ginger aroma, but it's not unpleasant. While it's good for nighttime use, it's difficult to absorb and apply makeup over it in the morning. Sometimes it seems to cause pilling... I think it's best to use it only before bed. Because the skin feels so hydrated with just this product, you might not need to apply essences or serums. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 31, 2018
It's a decent product that gets the job done. I like that it's functional and it suits me well. Keep in mind that it might feel a bit sticky during summer months. - th********Combination SkinAcne SkinFeb 7, 2018
Even though I have super sensitive skin, this product is so gentle that it didn't cause any blemishes. I wouldn't recommend this for oily skin types. Also, the lid tends to break easily. - cc*******Dry SkinJan 6, 2018
It feels so hydrating that you probably won't need to apply much additional oil or serum I switched back to my previous toner. While the watery toner wasn't completely incompatible, I found it frustrating that it didn't provide exfoliation or a cooling effect as I had hoped. The scent is also a bit off-putting, with a slight ginger aroma that I'm not fond of - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 1, 2017
There weren't really any positives to speak of. I'm not sure if it contains oil... It doesn't seem to have any oil ingredients, but for some reason - though I can't say for certain if this was the cause - I broke out in tiny blemishes all over. - bo*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinOct 22, 2017
I'm in my 30s with dry skin and some whiteheads in the T-zone. A store associate recommended this after seeing my skin, so I bought it along with the serum. I loved it so much that I've used about 2-3 bottles of the toner and 3-4 bottles of the serum. While I've been trying different essences, I haven't found a toner that catches my eye quite like this one, so I'm still using it. It spreads smoothly with a silky texture and absorbs well, though it takes a bit of time. Perhaps due to the oil content, applying 2-3 layers of just this toner significantly helps with my dryness. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. However, those who don't do well with oil-based products should avoid this. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2017
The absorption is really good, as you'd expect from a skin toner! However, besides the excellent absorption, I couldn't find any other notable benefits. It seems to have no ability to absorb well, causing deep dryness. Though it's marketed as an oil, it feels like there's barely a drop of oil in it. I experienced the same skin tightness I feel right after cleansing, even after applying this toner. I have zero intention of repurchasing. If you apply it once, you'll forget you even put it on, so I recommend applying it two or three times. This is not a product I'd recommend to those with very dry skin. It's as if you didn't apply anything at all. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 16, 2017
Being a fan of ginger, I decided to try it on my face. The scent was pleasantly sweet, and it felt ordinary to use. If I remember correctly, it wasn't quite as watery as a typical toner! It was so ordinary that nothing particularly stands out in my memory. Whenever I had blemishes, I'd apply it thinking, 'Calm down with this ginger...' as if trying to will it to work. At least there were no adverse reactions, so I guess that's a win. - ae*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 24, 2017
Great for winter use! I do the 3-skin method with this, and it's gentle on my skin without causing irritation. Unlike plain water-based toners, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. For a toner with 'oil' in its name, it's a bit thin. As someone with dry skin, applying it once isn't enough for me. Just doing the 3-skin method is sufficient! - re******Oily SkinAcne SkinOct 4, 2016
When I apply it before bed and wake up in the morning, I'm amazed at how much my skin texture has improved! It can feel a bit heavy in summer. That's why I don't use it during the peak of summer. I feel like my skin becomes even more hydrated when I apply this after using Innisfree's Green Tea Serum.
