The refreshing orange scent was delightful, and it felt instantly moisturizing without being heavy. I was satisfied with how lightweight the ingredients seemed. However... About two weeks later, I applied it all over my face as usual, but suddenly my skin became flushed with intense redness. The burning sensation wouldn't subside, and it stung badly. I immediately stopped using it. Such a shame that 80% of the product is left unused. Please test it on your body for 1-2 weeks before applying it to your face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2016
There's not much to praise, except for the low price. At least there's no excessive packaging. First off, the scent is unpleasant. I'm not sure if there are any good points about this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2016
The refreshing feel is great. Being oil-free, it's definitely noticeable. The scent is pleasantly invigorating too. It's not just occasional - it stings every time I apply it. I want to wash it off, but I'm enduring it. The absorption is non-existent. If you don't pat it in vigorously, it pills like dead skin. After a while, my face feels incredibly tight. It's driving me crazy. I'm debating whether to keep using it. I found a workaround - pat it in, wait about 5 minutes while doing something else, then apply a tiny bit of oil on top. It seems to work better this way. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinApr 29, 2016
My skin feels smooth and the product doesn't slide around. Since Avalon Organics aims for natural products, their overall absorption rate is lower. It doesn't absorb immediately after application. The texture is a bit thick, and you need to spend some time patting it into your face. Right after absorption, there's a slight feeling of tightness. While it's not exceptional for hydration, it's suitable for use in early summer or early fall. As it's a Vitamin C product line, you might expect brightening effects, but that's hard to judge accurately as it varies from person to person. I've used about four bottles, but since I haven't been diligent with other skincare routines simultaneously, I can't really tell... that's my conclusion. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 18, 2016
It's oil-free, so it feels light and refreshing. The fruity orange scent is pleasant, but occasionally it can cause a slight tingling sensation on the skin. I'm not sure why, but some people have reported similar tingling with the renewal cream, so it's worth noting. For my combination-dry skin, using this alone can be a bit drying, but it would be great for oily or combination skin types. Since it has SPF15, I recommend using it during the day rather than at night! While it doesn't happen all the time, the occasional tingling might be an issue for those with super sensitive skin. Also, it's a bit disappointing that the packaging is plastic for a vitamin cream. Since it can be a bit drying on its own, I layer it with a creamy moisturizer or add a few drops of a fast-absorbing facial oil like Bio-Oil for extra hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 4, 2015
With consistent nightly use, you can really feel your complexion brightening. Just remember, the effects show up when you use it regularly. It doesn't provide any hydration at all, so you'll need to use a separate moisturizer for that. Use this only before bed and make sure to apply a separate hydrating cream!
