1. Ambiguous color
Hmm, the color kind of drains the life from my lips. It's a bit ambiguous... not quite an MLBB, but just kind of blah. I really don't like this color at all. It doesn't mix well with other colors either. I have no intention of repurchasing. 🙁 It's not a problem with the product itself, just that the color isn't my cup of tea, so those who like it might enjoy it.

2. Needs to be sharpened
Having to sharpen it a bit after using it is inconvenient, and the regular pencil sharpeners don't work - you need one with a bigger hole! That's a bit of a bummer in terms of the additional purchase.

1. Convenience
Lip pencils are convenient to apply along the lines, which I really like. It's extremely convenient, and there's no crumbling or anything, so it's easy to carry around. That's a great point.

2. Color payoff
The color is a bit muted, but the pigmentation is excellent. The Nars lip pencils tend to be like that, but if you like the color, the pigmentation is really good!


It was known as a warm tone lipstick, but it appeared purple on my lips. So I did not use it often.

My friend gave me this as a Christmas gift 2 years ago. The finish was unique as it had a pearl finish with glitters. It was a matte lip crayon, but the texture was very soft and creamy. The color was a natural pink. The pigment was rich and it lasted long.

I highly recommend this to those with fair skin tones. Sweep a light pink blush across the face, and this lipstick will complement the look beautifully.

The longevity is not as great as expected. Since the color is so light, even after layering it, I noticed the lipstick had worn off quite a bit when I checked the mirror outside.

It's a soft, delicate nude pink (slightly muted pink). When applied on the lips, it creates a very innocent, pure look. It's a color that I reach for quite often in the fall and winter seasons.

Blending two colors together and applying them together makes the look more vivid and lively.

Everything else is good. The only slight disappointment is the ingredients and the price, I guess?

The Nars lip pencil is famous, so I went to the department store and tested it myself, and I was really satisfied. My lips are usually dry, so I always apply lip balm, but this product applies so smoothly. It provides beautiful and vivid color payoff. It seems to suit me better than lip glosses and lipsticks. Nars is the best!

If you dab a creamy, pigmented lip pencil in the inner part of your lips and blend it outwards, it will give a more flushed, high-end look with the pink tones radiating from the center.

While I'm extremely satisfied with the application, color payoff, and longevity (as with all NARS products), the dryness is unavoidable. Applying a lip balm on top makes it too glossy, and it ends up being no different from the Satin Lip Pencil... It's more an issue with my own lips than the product.

And then there's the product name ㅠㅠ I can't even recommend it anywhere. I wonder what NARS was thinking when they named it? Of course, there are many people who are drawn to NARS because of these names, or who feel compelled to buy colors that don't suit them. But NARS products are so good that this kind of 'noise marketing' doesn't seem necessary... Am I just being too naive?

Although the product name gave me a very strong image, I was surprised to find that the color payoff was very delicate and cute pink when I swatched it. I picked it up after looking at the color swatches of Dolce Vita and Cruella at the NARS counter, and I was first surprised by the product name, and then again by the color payoff.

I still consider Cruella to be the best MLBB for me, but if I had to choose an MLBB from the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, I think Sex Machine would be a better pick than Dolce Vita. The pink tones show up, but the color payoff is deeper than my natural lip color, giving me a healthy glow. The online swatches made it look like strawberry milk, but the actual color payoff was nothing like that for me. The paper swatches of Dolce Vita and Sex Machine looked pretty similar, but the colors transform completely once applied on the lips.
