It contains an ideal ratio of aloe vera extract, propanediol, glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate. I even appreciate that they used xanthan gum instead of carbomer. While Awesome has a lemon balm line too, I found the aloe toner suits me better. I'm only using the serum, emulsion, and cream from the lemon balm line. The lemon balm products are richer, so for my skin with deep dryness, using the lighter aloe toner followed by the richer lemon balm emulsion and cream creates the perfect balance. As it's a light formula, you might feel unsatisfied if you only apply it once. However, if you pump generously and apply it three times in succession, followed by an emulsion cream, the hydration lasts all day long, making it a highly satisfying product (for combination dehydrated skin). If you have mildly dry skin with deep dryness or combination dehydrated skin, you'll likely be satisfied using it this way. But if you have dry skin with surface dryness too, this product alone won't be enough - you'll need to add another essence. The more you layer this product, the more hydrated your skin becomes, so applying at least three layers worked best for me.
