To be honest, I don't think there were any real drawbacks to this product itself. Perhaps the only thing worth mentioning is that it might cause a tingling sensation if applied when your skin is super sensitive.

I definitely felt like it refined my skin texture. Although it's an exfoliating toner, I was surprised to find it sufficiently moisturizing for my skin. I had no discomfort at all, which makes me wonder why I only gave it three stars. A month ago, I might have given it five stars. However, I recently started using a rice bran soap for cleansing, and wow, the after-feel was incredible. Since using that, I haven't reached for this toner. Compared to when I was using this, it seems like my dead skin cells have either disappeared or gone dormant. My makeup applies better, and my skin feels revitalized. While this toner isn't bad, finding a much better product has downgraded it to three stars. I'm a real blemish and dead skin cells enthusiast - if I slack on cleansing for just one day, I collect all the dead skin cells in the world! But since using that soap, I don't really notice a difference whether I use this toner or not. Worried about potential skin irritation, I've just left it unused. In the end, I think it's better to find a cleansing product that really works for you.

This is my favorite bestseller from Isntree! It truly shows what it means to dissolve dead skin cells. With consistent use, it prevents pore-clogging buildup and keeps blemishes at bay. I find it incredibly effective for those pesky little bumps. I'm already on my second bottle!

It can be a bit tingling when applied to areas without blemishes, and it has an alcohol-like scent.

It's great for calming blemishes overnight when applied to affected areas before bed.

While I avoid using it when I have blemishes, the AHA ingredient seems to suit me well. I can use it daily without any issues, so I don't really have any complaints

After using it about 3 times, my skin started to feel irritated and even drier. I originally had dry skin with a bit of redness on my cheeks, but now I've ended up with dry, super sensitive skin, and thinning skin as a bonus. My skin completely flared up, and I'm now seeing a dermatologist. My cheeks became red, irritated, itchy, with more dead skin cells flaking off, and even swollen. If you have even slightly sensitive, thin, or dry skin, please think twice before using this. I used to be told I had perfect skin, but now I'm really depressed and frustrated about it.
