When I was in the US, this was the best-selling foundation at Walmart that every girl around me seemed to have. Many magazines hailed it as one of the few affordable foundations with department store quality. Its standout features are its incredibly thin, lightweight, and semi-matte finish. Despite this, it offers remarkable coverage. True to American products, it comes in an extensive range of shades, so you're guaranteed to find your perfect match. Often dubbed as the budget-friendly version of Dior's Forever Foundation, it's truly a high-quality product that could easily pass for a luxury brand foundation. There are absolutely no drawbacks. Even the price is great. I've used so many bottles, I've lost count! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 11, 2018
It's extremely matte and feels powder-soft. There's hardly any oiliness. It's like... carrot-colored. The orange tint is so intense that I can't use it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 25, 2018
As someone with oily skin, I really appreciated how it gave a matte finish. The staying power was also quite impressive. The reason I'm giving it one star is, you guessed it, because of the dreaded darkening effect. I have fairly light skin, so I bought the Classic Ivory shade. At first, it seemed okay, but after a few hours, my face had turned completely orange! It's disappointing that there isn't a truly light shade in the color range. I'd advise against this for those who need long-lasting wear or anyone looking for a bright, radiant base. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 21, 2018
Great coverage and absorbs well. For a foundation, it's light enough to wear on its own. Feels drier on the face than it looks. In winter, you need to apply a good base moisturizer. - cl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinNov 9, 2017
As someone with a complexion slightly darker than shade 21, I was on a wild goose chase trying to find the perfect color match. Since this is an international product, reviews were as rare as hen's teeth, especially color comparisons which seemed to change drastically under different lighting. It was quite the ordeal! But lo and behold! After much deliberation, I took the plunge with shade 810! Let me preface this by saying I'm now more into a natural look that complements my skin tone rather than a stark, made-up appearance. So I didn't even glance at the lighter shades. I was torn between 810, 825, and 832, but ultimately chose 810 because it was supposed to have a darkening effect. Surprisingly, once applied, I didn't notice much darkening, and 810 wasn't as light as I'd anticipated. It blends seamlessly with my neck color, allowing for a natural makeup look. I hope my review helps those with similar skin tones make their choice. Upon application, I found the staying power and coverage to be impressive. I'm thoroughly satisfied and will likely repurchase. Some might find it a tad drying. If you have dry skin, especially in winter, you might want to mix it with a more hydrating product. I have combination-dry skin in my T-zone, but it wasn't unbearable for me. Of course, it's not winter yet, so that might change. I plan to keep using it though - I can always mix it when winter comes. The coverage is really quite good, and it adheres lightly to the skin. Of course, we can't ignore the talc in the top ingredients. I agonized over this endlessly. But I realized many cosmetics contain talc, even some I've been using unknowingly. Just because a product contains talc doesn't necessarily make it bad - that's what my research showed. So I decided to use it with the mindset that if any blemishes appeared, I'd toss it without hesitation. Fortunately, no blemishes occurred! So I'm using it contentedly. I'm choosing to live with the slight unease about the ingredients. Perhaps due to the talc, the adherence is truly remarkable. However, it can apply a bit thick, so you need to spread it thinly. Also, because it dries quickly, you need to apply an appropriate amount to your face and spread it rapidly. I quickly spread it with a brush, then pat it with a damp beauty sponge. Trying to spread it by patting with the sponge first doesn't work well. Because it dries so quickly, if you just pat, it sets immediately and becomes difficult to spread. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 26, 2017
The coverage is great! I used shade 23 and it matched my skin tone perfectly (832)!!!! I can't think of any downsides... Maybe it darkens a tiny bit over time? - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 11, 2017
I bought this after watching beauty YouTuber Han Byeol's video! I have seriously blemish-prone skin and I'm a lazy girl who never touches up my makeup, no matter what happens. Oh, and I've never seen anyone with oilier skin than mine - I have extremely oily skin. But this is truly a holy grail foundation! If you have a similar skin type to mine and believe that coverage and longevity are the most important factors, you absolutely won't regret trying this! The biggest downside is this: there's no way to buy it except through international shipping. Apparently, in the US it's considered an incredibly affordable drugstore foundation (around $10). But when you order it internationally, you end up paying about $30! Since it's an American product, there's a wide range of shades, but the labeling system is different from Korean products. I recommend researching carefully before making a purchase! For reference, I have a yellow undertone and typically use shade 23 in Korean brands. This foundation tends to oxidize a bit, so shade 810 worked perfectly for me! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 28, 2017
I loved the matte finish and long-lasting coverage the most. On days when I need my makeup to last, I use this and it's so great that I now use it daily! If applied thinly, it doesn't last as long, but when I apply the right amount, it covers pores well and gives me that smooth, rice cake skin. If applied thinly, it breaks down quickly in the T-zone due to excess oil. If you have very dry skin, it might emphasize flakiness. Also, there might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with me because when I use it after a break, I always get a blemish or two for a few days. When I use it daily, my skin seems to adapt and it happens less often, but that's still disappointing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 14, 2017
I used shade 842 (medium beige). I bought it through the only seller on Naver after watching YouTuber Hanbyeol's recommendation video. It's shade 23. I have extremely oily skin. I liked that it was matte. When I apply it and look in the bright bathroom lighting, why does my face look so red? Also, if you don't blend it quickly, it can clump. I was disappointed with the color. It's unfortunate that I had to choose the shade based on blogs and YouTubers online, and it's only available in limited places. I won't be repurchasing. Use a damp sponge! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 23, 2017
Coverage: Medium to high (high for those with good skin). For me, it didn't cover acne scars and blemishes perfectly. Longevity: Medium to high, lasting about 6-8 hours. I wear it for school, applying early in the morning, so the staying power isn't bad! Adherence: Excellent. Works well with fingers, brush, or beauty blender. Shades: Great variety, but I prefer a natural look and seek yellow-based tones. Oddly, I keep getting pink-based ones even after in-store testing. Price: In Australia, it's $20.95, about 20,000 won. Not exactly cheap. The coverage could be better, and it can be drying in winter. While it's my holy grail in summer, those with dry skin should ensure proper hydration before use.
