When I apply this and then add blush, the brightening base makes the color pop and appear more vibrant.
ConsUnfortunately, it accentuates pores quite noticeably. It's quite thick, so after a while it tends to clump up and make pores more visible. It's prone to pilling, which is really disappointing.
TipIt works great for ID photos - it really brings out the facial contours! If possible, I recommend ordering it with a Mitsuyoshi puff for the best application results.

I use it on my cheeks and forehead after applying foundation to add volume. It's fantastic for creating dimension! It's quite matte and very brightening when applied all over, so be careful not to overdo it or you might look ghostly. For best results, use a puff to gently pat it onto areas you want to highlight and add volume. I'll definitely keep using this product!
ConsThe packaging is a bit of a letdown - dust easily gets into the open container, which is unhygienic. Sometimes the dust transfers to my face, causing itchiness. It's also extremely matte, so those with dry skin should moisturize thoroughly beforehand. Due to its very light color, it's not recommended for those with large pores as it can actually accentuate skin texture. It's also not suitable for covering blemishes, redness, or dark spots because it's so bright - it'll just make those areas stand out more. Keep these points in mind before purchasing!
TipPro tip: Use a damp puff to apply this product. Many makeup artists swear by it too! They often use a brush to apply it to specific areas, then blend with a puff. Personally, I prefer using just a puff as brushes can sometimes leave visible streaks. On days when you use this product, keep your base makeup light to avoid a heavy or overdone look. I recommend applying sunscreen, a thin layer of foundation, and then the Mitsuyoshi concealer for best results.

I bought it because Suzy uses it, but either due to my inexperience or my skin type, I couldn't achieve that peachy complexion beyond a slight highlighter effect. However, if you dab it with your fingertips on the under-eye triangle area and then gently pat it with a damp sponge, you can achieve a slightly brighter skin appearance compared to not using it at all. Exceptional adherence. The staying power is top-notch. True to its name, it's like paint. As described above, once you blend it out, it really sticks and doesn't come off easily. Great longevity. Thanks to its excellent adherence, it lasts well. While it might feel a bit dry in winter, it should reduce the need for touch-ups in summer. It's resistant to water and sweat, and doesn't easily come off. I compared the color with Double Wear: Double Wear Warm Porcelain - Double Wear Bone - Grease Paint 21P You can clearly see that Grease Paint is significantly more matte. Highly recommended for those with oily skin. If you have dry skin, you'll need to apply a generous amount of moisturizer underneath.
ConsPore accentuation. Living up to its name, it's paint-like, so if applied incorrectly, it can severely accentuate pores. Make sure to prep your skin well and always use a damp sponge. When I applied it with my fingers, my pores looked enormous. It was a disastrous day. Due to its strong adherence, it's hard to touch up. Double cleansing is a must. It's even more matte than Double Wear. Also, while the color looks beautifully pink in the container, it gets quite covered up when you apply foundation over it. Disappointing. I have warm-toned skin, but it doesn't really neutralize yellow undertones. I thought it might be because Estée Lauder foundations have strong yellow undertones, so I tried other foundations, but there wasn't much difference. If you apply too much Grease Paint, the under-eye area can look cakey with thick makeup.
TipInstead of a brush or just fingers, first warm up the Grease Paint with your fingertips. Then, dab it onto the under-eye triangle area. Don't apply too much, or your under-eye area will look heavy and cakey. Afterwards, blend it out quickly with a damp sponge. Work fast as it sets quickly.

I quite liked it overall: 1. Creates a radiant, pink-toned complexion 2. Staying power is so-so 3. Perfect for those tired of shimmery highlighters or wanting a matte highlight effect - this is for you! 4. Didn't cause any blemishes 5. Apparently it's Suzy's concealer and a champion for dark circles (though I don't have any to test it on)
ConsWell... It's not ideal. It does emphasize skin texture. Not recommended for those with visible pores. There's a bit of a floating effect that accentuates texture and pores. A pearl highlighter might work better? Also, keep in mind that if you apply it too roughly after full coverage, it can wipe off. It doesn't spread easily either. Staying power is just okay. As someone with oily skin, it was fine for me, but those with dry skin might find it a bit dehydrating. Apparently, Mitsuyoshi originally makes theatrical makeup. So this product is from that line... which might explain why it feels a bit heavy.
TipIt's not a product I'd call bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it either.

ConsWhile it can make skin look dry and accentuate fine lines, it doesn't settle into creases. It tends to emphasize dead skin cells, and after application, it transfers easily onto hands.

Not overly bright though.
ConsIt sits noticeably on the skin. The texture is smooth, but it seems to accentuate dead skin cells. Also, it's hard to find.
TipWell... if you insist on using it, make sure to have a solid skincare routine as a base.

When applied to areas where you want highlight - forehead, under eyes, bridge of the nose - it creates a lovely pink glow that subtly lifts the skin. The cream texture feels incredibly soft to the touch. It's my absolute favorite highlighter. It really brightens up your complexion!
ConsControlling the amount is crucial. If you apply too much, it can look patchy. It has a matte finish! Be aware that it may accentuate dead skin cells, so exfoliate if needed. While warm skin tones can use this for a brightening look, it's not suitable for a natural makeup style.
TipPro tip: Use a damp sponge to pat it in. A dry sponge will make it sit on top of the skin and look matte. Also, be mindful of how much you use! When applying the highlighter, don't rub your fingers on it - that picks up too much product. Instead, gently tap your finger once on the highlighter, then dab three small dots on your forehead, under eyes, and nose. Blend it out from there. I find this is enough for a subtle look, as I prefer lighter makeup. If you need more coverage, repeat this process. This method should help you apply it flawlessly.

I've been using it for half a year and still have half left. I was intrigued when I heard the legendary Samwool uses it to cover Suzy's dark circles. Then I immediately bought it after seeing the iconic Sabae use it on the bridge of her nose for newlywed makeup. It's less of a traditional concealer and more about color-correcting coverage. If you buy this expecting it to hide blemishes like a typical concealer, you might be disappointed.
ConsUsing a brush for application is essential to control the amount. If applied too thickly, it can clump and accentuate wrinkles. The trick is to use a Hwahong brush for a thin, smooth application - it works like a charm.
