First off, it absorbs beautifully and smoothly. The fragrance is absolutely delightful - a sweet vanilla or chocolate scent. I'm absolutely in love with the color payoff too! If you have cool undertones, this is a must-buy. Especially for those with fair skin among the cool-toned folks - it makes your face look even brighter and more radiant. It'll give you that fresh, lively look. I think even those with warm undertones would look lovely wearing this! I haven't found any downsides yet. The color payoff and staying power are both fantastic! - az*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 9, 2024
Love that it doesn't make just my lips look red on my face. The color suits cool skin tones, and the pigmentation is close to a true red. It's a unique shade of red that's hard to find from other brands. Lasts at least 2-3 hours without touching up. The color applies well even with light tapping, so be careful not to stain clothes or other surfaces. The bullet-shaped case is pretty and looks chic sitting on your desk after application. As it's a matte lipstick, it can be drying, so you might need a lip balm when applying. It's on the pricier side and rarely goes on sale. A matte, classic red lipstick. It's not a bright, vivid red, but more of a muted, lower-saturation red. Since it's a matte formula, it's best to exfoliate your lips, apply lip balm, and then put on the lipstick for the best results. - jh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedDec 6, 2024
It absorbs smoothly and has excellent color payoff. It stays put well even during summer. The red color is versatile and easy to use. I didn't find any drawbacks while using it. - so*******Oily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 14, 2024
MAC lipsticks generally hit the mark. However, this shade feels a bit bright and light for deep winter tones. In the second photo, the bottom swatch is 'Old Fired', which is almost a summer cool tone - perhaps a light summer cool? I'd especially recommend this to those with cool summer undertones - try applying it over lip balm for a softer look. It's too bright and light for deep winter skin tones. Even when applied fully, it's barely dark enough, and for deep winter complexions, it fades to an almost bare lip look too quickly. Unfortunately, it doesn't stain much either, which is disappointing. - eu*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 21, 2024
As someone with a cool winter complexion, this brightening moisturizer lights up my face like a fluorescent bulb. It really evens my skin tone and makes me glow! However, those with warm undertones might find it makes their lips look a bit disconnected from the rest of their face. You can confidently step out wearing just this, without heavy makeup, and still look naturally radiant. - ba***********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 8, 2024
The color payoff is fantastic! It's like a fluorescent light for your lips. I'll probably repurchase when I run out. The matte finish really accentuates dead skin cells like crazy. Make sure to exfoliate and moisturize well before applying... The color doesn't show up well on camera, unfortunately. It's somewhere between red and magenta... a slightly dark purple-pink shade. I recommend testing it in-store to see the true color. - wg******Normal SkinApr 2, 2024
A warm-toned pink with a deep undertone, lighter than cool beige. Great as an accent color. Despite not being an ultra-matte formula, it tends to clump and crack on its own. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 11, 2024
This vibrant hot pink shade will light up the faces of cool-toned beauties like a fluorescent bulb! It's an absolutely stunning lip color when used as an accent. Not only does it suit cool undertones beautifully, but it can also work wonders for those with warm undertones and even deep undertones if applied in a thin layer for a softer effect. I've tested this on my friends, and it's a winner! The texture is a bit stiff, which makes it challenging to smudge or blend. It sets quite quickly, so you need to work fast to spread it evenly. On the bright side, this lipstick has impressive staying power compared to many others! For a truly gorgeous look, try using CLIO's Chiffon Blur Tint in Namsan Peach Pink as a base, then apply this as an accent lip color on top. - al*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 15, 2023
My first MAC lipstick... It's perfect as a sheer base or as a statement lip! I'm in love with it. There's honestly nothing to dislike about it. If you have cool-toned skin, you absolutely need this. It's better than any other lipstick I've tried. - nu******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 15, 2023
The Glow Cool Bright suited me better than Ruby Woo. I think it's because the color is much cooler. I suspect the main issue might be that it doesn't apply smoothly. Still, it applies better than Ruby Woo.
