Since I can't cover my skin's flaws, I have to be meticulous with skincare day and night, focusing all my energy on skincare products. My skin tends to develop tiny bumps if the oil and moisture balance is off. I've been using snail cream for years despite the tingling and stickiness, simply because it didn't cause any issues. Then one day, I tried this product that I'd been eyeing suspiciously as a freebie, fearing it might cause blemishes. It feels like it addresses the drawbacks of snail cream - less tingling and less sticky! I didn't realize it while using it, but when I stopped, I noticed tiny bumps appearing, so it seems to balance the oil and moisture. It's super gentle, and while it may not be the most exciting product, it's definitely not irritating to the skin. The travel-friendly size is a subtle charm point.
ConsI only want to buy this, but it comes with snail cream...? There are plenty of places to buy it online, but some are so cheap it makes me hesitant. Also, be careful when applying it to wounds or sensitive areas - it can sting so badly your whole body might curl up!
TipAlthough this product is called an eye cream, I use it all over my face. When used alone, it's highly concentrated (being born as an eye cream), making it difficult to apply widely. But if you apply too much, it becomes heavy and coats the skin so tightly that it feels suffocating. This can even lead to tiny bumps. So, I mix it with an extremely gentle, fragrance-free, and thin emulsion. I take about a thumbnail-sized amount of emulsion and mix it with about half the rubber part of an eyelash curler's worth of eye cream - that seems to be the right balance. It stings my eyes much less this way. At first, you might think it's not enough, but applying more doesn't necessarily mean better skin. Your skin can only absorb so much, and anything beyond that could potentially cause blemishes.
