To be honest, I couldn't find any positives, only drawbacks. I expected it to have shimmer since it wasn't advertised as shimmer-free, but the particles scattered everywhere like powder. I loved how smooth it was and how well it showed up on my skin. It's great as a base layer. I wish there was a groove to open it. Without one, I accidentally opened it too forcefully at first and ended up denting the shadow with my fingernail... so disappointing!

I've bought many April Skin products before, but this was my first time trying their eyeshadow. After using this one, I ended up purchasing their entire eyeshadow line! The price is a bit steep, and the lid doesn't open easily. I've already chipped four shadows just trying to open them with my nails. This eyeshadow applies better with fingers than with a brush for better adherence. Also, it contains fine shimmer particles, but they're subtle enough to work well for contouring too.

I bought this because the website said it was shimmer-free, but it actually has shimmer. I can only use it on my eyes now. I wanted it for nose contouring, but I feel deceived. For easy shading, apply a small amount to your finger and gently sweep from the outer corner of your eye towards the inner corner.
