When I bought it, the color was great! It was exactly the shade I wanted. I tend to get chapped lips, but applying it frequently prevented that. Alternating between the two colors was also quite nice. As time passed, I'm not sure if the colors mixed or if there was another issue, but while the colored side remained decent, the clear side turned completely orange. Now even when I apply the clear side, my lips turn orange! Also, after the colors mixed, I didn't use it for a while. When I took it out again, it had melted a bit. The shape, which was initially nicely defined and sharp, became uneven and started to crumble over time. Honestly, I feel like I wasted my money on this. Compared to other products, I rarely reach for it. Be careful not to mix the colors or stain them differently when applying! Also, keep it in a cool place to prevent melting in summer! Think twice before buying this... You might be better off purchasing something else. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 4, 2018
This was my first tinted lip balm, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the color payoff was. I initially thought tinted balms wouldn't have great pigmentation, but it exceeded my expectations. It's more of a tint than a balm, as it lacks hydration. I recommend applying it on lips that are already moisturized with a regular lip balm for the best results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinFeb 5, 2018
The color is beautiful, and I love that it can be applied as a matte tint or a moisturizing lip color. It's so versatile! There's nothing bad to say! I'm really enjoying using this product. Try applying the tint balm first, then layer the matte on top. It looks even prettier that way... just a little tip! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinDec 30, 2017
The color was just so beautiful, and the ingredients seemed quite nice as well. There were no breakouts, but there was a slight stickiness to it. - nh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 15, 2017
The color at the store was so beautiful. A delicate coral! I was debating between 2 and a lighter one, but the lighter one was just too pretty, so I bought it! I don't know why it turns into a hot pink when I apply it at home... I regret not getting the 2nd one instead. No, no. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinOct 12, 2017
I was immediately smitten when I swatched it on my wrist at first. It's a heavenly orange that I simply can't live without - I knew I had to buy it the moment I saw that color. And the application is great too. Oh, and the ingredients are good as well. It's just that. Honestly, I don't think there's a compelling reason to specifically buy this from Etude House at this price point. I bought it, but I keep regretting it and feeling like I wasted my money whenever I wear it bare-faced. There are so many other lip products out there... The lip balm part also disappointed me. I initially thought the tinting function was great, but over time it just develops this tacky fuchsia color that looks so outdated. I bought it thinking I could just slap it on haphazardly when going bare-faced, and the tint part looked so pretty, but the lip balm color is the absolute worst. And the tint color also ends up turning into this garish hot pink over time, making my whole look so tacky. At first I didn't know any better and slathered on the lip balm part, then started using the orange part, but that threw off the balance and made it all clump up. And it melts so easily... that's probably my fault for keeping it in my pocket for a bit in the summer. Anyway, as someone with lips that just die when there's any pink in them, the lip balm part was a total disaster for me. Don't trust the swatch on the brand's website. If you do get this, just use the tint part. But if you're going to do that, you might as well just get a better tint at that price point. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 23, 2017
The color was pretty and it had good moisturizing power, so I liked it^^. It's too pretty so my sister keeps taking it from me (I'm a bit greedy about it ㅋㅋ) She uses it all the time. It's good to use it for gradation. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinJul 2, 2017
The tint is a pink coral color, and the lip balm has a slight shimmer. It's great for creating a gradient effect. It tends to smudge easily, and the case keeps falling off for me when I carry it in my bag for daily use. It's really frustrating. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMay 12, 2017
The color is pretty and not too flashy, just the right amount of pretty! I highly recommend this to makeup beginners or those who are concerned about pale lips or don't like bold colors. After trying it, I'm very satisfied with those aspects - the color payoff is also great! It is a bit matte. And you may feel that the tint part is a bit less than the lip balm part. Apply the colored part more towards the lower part of your lips rather than the center, and blend it out like a gradient for a prettier look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 9, 2017
This seems to be the most versatile color among the half-and-half tint balms. The color (a pinkish coral..?) is delicate and soft, and since it comes with a lip balm, it's convenient to carry around just one product. When the warm lip balm is applied, it leaves a pinkish tint. The pigmentation is great, and the longevity is a bit... haha. The staining isn't very strong, but it does leave a bit of a tint. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this tint, giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Hmm... I wish the longevity was a bit better! And the ratio of lip balm to tint was a bit disappointing. If it was 6:4 lip balm to tint, it would have been perfect for me!! Gently patting it on will create a delicate, natural look. The photo below is with foundation and the half-and-half tint balm applied.
