It applies thinly with a semi-matte finish, but I'd say it still gives a subtle glow. First, use a concealer for light spot coverage, then apply this cushion. Rather than looking like you're not wearing makeup, it gives the impression of naturally good skin with a light makeup application - perfect for achieving that healthy complexion look. The blemish coverage is a bit weak. Still, it performs much better than Chanel in this aspect. Even though it's not strong on covering blemishes, it does a decent job of minimizing the appearance of pores. There's some fading throughout the day, so you'll need to touch up occasionally. That's why this beautiful compact case comes in handy. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinJan 19, 2020
* The organic-inorganic hybrid sunscreen cushion has excellent absorption * Unique shade with a low number * Luxurious case design * Makes skin texture look improved * Moisturizing without deep dryness, yet not greasy - a perfect balanced feel - Likely to suit most people * Decent coverage... maybe 3 to 3.5 out of 5 stars * It's a hybrid sunscreen, but why is the SPF so low? :( * The shade is like wet soil - Tricky to color match, wish there was a #22 pink beige... * Longevity is about 2.5 out of 5 stars (for oily skin in mid-winter) - Easily settles into nose creases if you skimp on powder or use too much product - Might not wear well in summer heat. I used it in December-January without issues, but it could become problematic as the weather warms up * Poor adherence to skin - Doesn't feel like it's melting into the skin, just sits on top * Absolutely not recommended if you have a yellow undertone - The product has an orange-pink beige tone, almost like wet reddish clay, making it an awkward color to use. It's labeled as pink-based, but it's more orange than pink. * Reminds me of the Clio Ampoule Cushion I tried 3-4 years ago when it first launched. Not sure if it's changed, but the feel is identical * The BM and case design teams really nailed it. They've created a product with mass appeal due to its standard formula, while the luxe image makes it attractive to anyone with disposable income - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2019
My T-zone is extremely oily, my cheeks are extremely dry, and overall my skin is dehydrated. The coverage isn't extraordinary, but I think it does a decent job of evening out my skin tone. The application is smooth and the staying power is pretty good. Best of all, it doesn't cause any blemishes, which makes me even more satisfied! I don't have any particular issues or disappointments with it, so I'm using it quite happily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 27, 2019
The finish is particularly impressive. I love how it applies moisturizing but sets to a comfortably matte finish with excellent adherence. I've gone through several compacts, and even after trying other cushions, I always find myself coming back to this one. These days, there are many great cushions available at more affordable prices, so the cost is probably the biggest drawback. Also, the coverage isn't quite as full as a foundation, so I usually mix it with my regular foundation. Using a concealer on top of that would be too much of a hassle! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 6, 2019
1. Packaging: It's so elegant that even men can feel luxurious using it. 2. Fragrance: That unique scent when you pat it on is just divine. 3. Application: It glides on smoothly and feels moisturizing. Highly recommended for those with dry skin like me! 4. Shade Range: I switched from shade 30 to 35 due to redness, and it's a perfect match! Love it! FYI, shades ending in 0 have a pink base, while those ending in 5 have a yellow base. 5. Longevity: It lasts quite well. As a guy, I don't touch up, but in summer, sweat might cause some fading. 6. Touch-ups: I still carry it with me. If I need to sneak into the bathroom for a quick fix, I'll mist first, then pat this on. It blends in so naturally for touch-ups! This is the real deal. 7. Trusted Brand: While I'm not particularly brand-conscious, looking at the ingredients and various aspects, it's clear they've put a lot of thought into this product. 1. Price: You know how it is, right? It's pricey. But it's worth it, and I'll keep using it because it's such a great product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 5, 2019
Skin type - Extremely dry around the mouth and eyes, with an oil explosion on the nose and forehead - combination skin 1. It adheres to the skin in a thin layer with a 'pat'! 2. It fades beautifully, making the fading barely noticeable! 3. Easy to touch up makeup 4. Applies well even when applied carelessly 5. The skin looks gorgeous, and the color is clean and lovely 1. It has almost no coverage! It was fine for me since I don't have many blemishes, but because I have severe dark circles, a concealer was absolutely necessary. 2. The price is intimidating unless it's duty-free... The amount is also small.. The price is terrifyingly high. Even though I bought it duty-free, the amount is so small that the value for money is really poor. At home, I use YSL All Hours Foundation for my makeup, and I only use the cushion for touch-ups! The cushion has such a small amount that it's perfect for carrying around just for touch-ups. Since it's almost the same(?) line, it worked great as a touch-up cushion for the All Hours Foundation! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 31, 2019
Absorbs lightly and refreshingly well! There's a slight cooling effect when it touches the skin - or is that just my imagination? As expected from such a famous cushion... I guess you get what you pay for with premium products! The signature Yves Saint Laurent scent is quite strong... unfortunately it's not a fragrance I enjoy. Also, the amount of product in the cushion seems rather small. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 2, 2019
The adherence and absorption are great. Even with a small amount, it makes my skin look radiant and gives a subtle glow, which I love! When you first use it after removing the packaging, a lot of product comes out on the cushion, so you need to be careful with the amount. The coverage isn't particularly impressive. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 5, 2018
It absorbs thinly without feeling heavy, giving a subtle glow The coverage is light, and there's not much to complain about. However, the price is quite steep without a refill option... - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 24, 2018
It applies so lightly and covers so naturally, you can hardly tell it's there. This is my holy grail product! I'm already on my second tube. As someone with oily skin, I find the staying power could be a bit better. Despite that, I love how it provides light yet flawless coverage that feels like it's melting into my skin.
