It brightens my complexion so naturally, which I absolutely love. It's not thick at all, so it absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. However, the staying power is disappointing. About 4-5 hours after application, when I cleansed my face, I noticed blemishes starting to appear. Because of this, it's become one of those products I rarely reach for these days. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2018
It provides decent coverage for light acne marks, showing some ability to conceal blemishes. However, it falls short in terms of brightening or evening out the skin tone. After using this brightening moisturizer, I developed small bumps and acne on my face. At first, I thought it was due to air pollution, but the issues subsided after I stopped using the product. My skin type is combination dehydrated with an oily T-zone and super sensitive skin, which might be why it didn't agree with me. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 25, 2017
So far, I've used about 4 different whitening creams, and this one seems to be the best. Even though the whitening effect didn't show up dramatically after about 2 weeks, many people said my skin looked transparent and bright! I really enjoy diligently doing my skincare routine, and even though I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, I didn't feel any dryness. In fact, this is the most moisturizing one among all the whitening creams I've bought so far. The other whitening creams tend to pill, but I've been using this one consistently. I'm not sure if it's because of this product or because I didn't wash my face properly before going to bed, but I'm getting some breakouts. I really hope it's just an issue with my cleansing routine ㅠㅠ I finally found a whitening cream that I love, but now I have these little bumps. If only it wasn't for this problem, it would be perfect... I think you should pat this on your skin instead of just rubbing it in. That way, it won't pill up and will absorb better. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 6, 2017
I have sensitive skin and tend to get breakouts easily. I imagine many of you may be in the same boat. When I first tried this product from Etude House, I hastily chose the whitening one, thinking it would brighten my skin. But I deeply regret that decision - it turned my skin into a whitening cream, rather than just a nice, natural glow. It's a good product to just slap on your bare face though, as it has a nice, moderate level of moisture. However, even after just one use, small pimples started popping up little by little. But the problem doesn't end there - as the initial moisture starts to fade, looking in the mirror, you can see it's become all clumped up in certain areas. Ugh, it's so gross. Hmm, I'd recommend that those with sensitive skin avoid this product. It's better to look for something else. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 31, 2017
It really doesn't become overly white or sticky like the original. There's nothing else. I've come to distrust Etude House's base or foundation line. I used it thinking it was a life-saver for about 3 days, but it terrorized my skin with acne and cystic acne - the first time in my life. It wasn't just a regular breakout, it was a real terror. At first, I thought it was for another reason and kept using it, but my skin flipped out, got red, and itchy, so I gave it to a friend and they had the same issue.. All my friends who used this product had skin issues. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 25, 2016
The pale look is so lovely. I also bought it at a cheap price. I've developed blemishes on my forehead since using this product. I'm going to try to stop using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 18, 2016
My skin definitely had an improved tone and the texture was really interesting and bubbly. I'm still using the toner from the same line and it's been great - my acne has calmed down a bit too. I'm planning to buy a full-size bottle of this tomorrow, the toner is highly recommended!! When I used this, I noticed some acne popping up on my skin. But once I stopped using it, the acne went back down. It felt quite oily and when I applied makeup on top, it seemed to slip around a bit. I'll need to be really careful with the amount I use. I don't plan to repurchase this and I think I'll try a different base product instead. Use the toner, but be careful with the amount - it can cause acne if you use too much.
