•Hydration The moisturizing cream type was easy to apply and felt comfortably hydrating. It seemed to provide deep hydration with its high moisture content. •Application It spread smoothly without stickiness, feeling soft and moist. I liked that it applied thinly without clumping, though it did feel a bit slippery at times. This wasn't particularly bothersome. •Texture As someone who dislikes thin creams, I found this product had a slight viscosity, giving it a rich, dense cream feel without being too thick or tacky. •Scent While it did contain fragrance, it was the least abundant ingredient, and the scent wasn't overpowering, so I didn't mind it. •Price Given that it contains goat milk, I expected it to be pricey, but considering the volume, it wasn't overly expensive and seemed reasonably priced. •Brightening effect I have a somewhat darker complexion, and since this is a brightening moisturizer, it made my skin look fair and radiant. While it didn't dramatically change my skin, it did a decent job of evening out my skin tone. •Adherence When used after previous skincare steps, it didn't adhere well and seemed to sit on top of the skin. It felt a bit floaty even though I don't have oily skin. •Absorption They advertised better absorption due to smaller fat particles, but honestly, it didn't absorb that well. There was also some pilling. •Longevity As mentioned earlier, due to poor adherence, the longevity wasn't great. Those who spend long hours outside should keep this in mind. •Packaging Due to the container design, it's difficult to reach the cream at the bottom even with a spatula. (This is my fault, but I lost my spatula, so it's quite challenging to use up all the product... haha) •Since this product tends to sit on the skin, I recommend applying it carefully after thorough preparation, regardless of your skin type. •It might be a bit much to use right after cleansing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 22, 2020
It absorbs well like a hydrating cream, but... It doesn't apply smoothly or adhere naturally to the skin. Instead, it sits on top, looking uneven. - pe***Dry SkinRecommendedSep 3, 2020
1. Absorbs well ☆☆☆☆☆ The cream has a perfect consistency - not too runny, with just the right amount of viscosity for excellent application. When applied to the back of my hand, it spreads smoothly without clumping, ensuring even coverage. It feels light and fresh rather than heavy, making it very pleasant to use. 2. Scent ☆☆☆☆ I'm not a fan of strong fragrances, and this brightening moisturizer doesn't disappoint. It has a subtle, milky scent, probably due to the New Zealand goat milk used in its formulation. This gives it a natural, eco-friendly feel. 3. Value for money ☆☆☆☆ Many high-quality brightening moisturizers come in small quantities and are quite pricey. However, this Tony Moly product offers great ingredients at an affordable price, especially during sales. I've tried expensive brightening moisturizers too, but honestly, I couldn't tell much difference. Maybe I'm just not discerning enough! 4. Absorption (body) ☆☆☆☆☆ This product's great value makes it perfect for summer use on arms and legs. It not only applies smoothly but absorbs quickly into the skin. It even makes my extremely dry skin look beautifully fair. That's why I use it so often! 1. Absorption (face) ☆☆☆ The main issues with brightening moisturizers are usually white cast and pilling. I've tried 3-4 different ones trying to find one without these problems, but it's really challenging. Unlike when applied to the body, this invariably leaves a white cast on my face. However, considering it's not much different from more expensive products in this regard, I think I'll stick with this one. I wonder if a truly white cast-free brightening moisturizer even exists! 2. Post-use dryness After using brightening moisturizers and cleansing, I often feel my skin is drier. This seems to be common with all the brightening moisturizers I've used. However, the Tony Moly one causes the least dryness and tightness among them. It seems to work well for me overall. I've found that applying the brightening moisturizer right after cleansing and using basic skincare helps minimize white cast and improves absorption. People with oily skin might find it absorbs well, but those with dry skin might need to pay extra attention. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2020
First off, the moisturizing formula and hydration level were incredibly compatible with my skin! Hmm... I felt the staying power was a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 14, 2019
As expected from a brightening moisturizer, it really evens out the skin tone well! I have a bit of a complex about my darker skin, but this cream completely covers that insecurity, which I love. Even a small amount easily brightens the complexion (though if you apply too much, it can get too light - just the right amount is perfect!). When I apply it, I get that coveted porcelain skin look, which I adore. I used to think brightening moisturizers lost their effect over time, but this one settles into a natural-looking tone correction. It's like it becomes completely seamless! I usually apply cushion foundation about 3-4 hours after putting this on in the morning, and the staying power seems pretty decent. Unlike foundation, which can feel heavy and suffocating on the skin, this cream absorbs well and feels moisturizing, which I really appreciate. It's also great mixed with foundation - works like a charm! According to Hwahae's ingredient analysis for different skin types, there are zero harmful ingredients for oily, dry, or sensitive skin. I have acne-prone skin, and it didn't seem to irritate my blemishes at all. After applying, there's a scent that's reminiscent of a nourishing cream? It's not overwhelmingly unpleasant, but it has a fragrance that might not appeal to teenagers or those in their early 20s, which is a bit of a downside. Also, 60ml of brightening moisturizer for 38,000 won seems quite expensive. When buying: Stock up during sales or buy-one-get-one-free events. When applying: To gauge the brightening effect, start by applying small amounts. A little goes a long way with this product, so always test with small amounts first! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 8, 2018
I really liked how it applied smoothly while keeping my skin moisturized. It doesn't give an overly dewy finish, but rather spreads on with a nice, slightly tacky texture. When I wore this to school, people actually complimented me on how good my skin looked! I experienced some minor blemishes after using it. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't take proper care of my skin or if I'm just sensitive to scents, but the fragrance wasn't particularly pleasant to me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 14, 2017
I have severe skin allergies, so I couldn't use potentially irritating products like BB creams and cushion foundations for a long time. I heard this product was gentle enough to wear overnight, so I felt confident buying it. People tell me my skin looks better with the brightening effect it gives. I'm using it as a BB cream alternative. It's comfortable to use since it doesn't contain any ingredients that irritate my skin. When I finish this, I'd like to repurchase it. Maybe it's because my pores are large, but up close, you can see white residue settling in them. If you apply too much, it can make your face look unnaturally pale. The cream is a bit matte, so it's best to pat it in evenly for a good application. - dm********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 20, 2017
After applying, it naturally brightens your face and leaves a soft, powdery finish, making it perfect for light outings. It seems to have low absorption, as applying too much can leave a sticky feeling. For some reason, possibly due to an ingredient that didn't agree with my skin, I started getting large blemishes periodically after using it. Eventually, my face became covered in blemishes, so I stopped using it. As soon as I discontinued use, my skin noticeably calmed down. I'm now using it as a foot cream instead, and since there are no issues, it seems fine for body use. However, the brightening effect is no longer needed in this case. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2017
I first tried this on the recommendation of the Insadong store manager, and I've been using it for nearly a year because it's so amazing. As I have extremely dry skin, I apply this thinly over a hydrating toner, and it absorbs beautifully. It's great as a standalone makeup base. With long-term use, you can even see brightening effects. It doesn't absorb quite as quickly, so you need to pat it in a bit. If you apply too much, there can be some pilling. While this works well on its own as a base, layering foundation or cushion over it increases longevity. When I'm busy at work with no time for touch-ups, it stays put without patching until I clock out. Personally, this is my holy grail product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 29, 2017
I bought this because there was a buy-one-get-one-free deal in Sinchon. Since I have dark under-eye areas, I apply it carefully around my eyes and thinly over the rest of my face. When I put on makeup, the complexion matches well, which is great. The disappointing part is that I heard it was moisturizing, but it actually feels quite dry. When wearing low-cut tops in summer and noticing a difference between neck and face color, applying this to the neck seems to even out the skin tone pretty well.
