  Pros

  I went to check out the popular Salsa Red, tried it on along with a few others, but surprisingly, New York Red looked much better on me. I'm not sure which skin tone it suits best, but with my black hair and slightly fair complexion, this shade made me look more sophisticated and prettier than Salsa Red. The color payoff is great and I really like it.

  Cons

  It's slightly matte? But as someone who used to wear MAC Retro Matte, this feels softer...

  Tip

  Applying it as a full lip color might look a bit dated, so try a gradient application instead. It's really beautiful that way.

  Pros

  I received this as a birthday gift from a friend. The color is a perfect blend of red and pink. When you dab it on, the pink tones shine through, but when applied more heavily, it goes on as a deep red, true to what you see in the tube. It's slightly darker than in the photos. Above all, the case is absolutely adorable!

  Cons

  As expected from a matte lip product, it can be quite drying. You'll definitely need a lip balm if you want to apply it lightly by dabbing. The protruding part on the side can be tricky - if you're not careful when wiping it, it can smudge and you'll have to redo your makeup around the mouth area, which can be a hassle.
