I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances, and the heavy scent gives me a headache. It has this oily sheen that pretends to be moisturizing, but it just feels greasy without actually hydrating. I can't really tell if it's doing anything beneficial.

There's not much to dislike. My complexion is very fair and prone to freckles and dark spots, so a brightening serum is essential for me. I've heard it's not good to use the same skincare product continuously, so I'd like to find an alternative to rotate with this one every few months, but I haven't found anything suitable yet.

Despite my super sensitive skin, this product has never caused itching, blemishes, or any issues regardless of when I use it. I applied it generously, almost like an emulsion. For reference, I have combination dehydrated skin (with extremely oily areas). After using it this way for a few months, my mom noticed that my freckles and blemishes had faded, making my skin look clearer.

If you apply it to dry skin, you'll need to use more product. For better absorption and to make it last longer, spread it on when your skin is still damp.

It's somewhat pricey, and although it's marketed as a brightening product, its whitening effects aren't particularly strong.

It's one of the more affordable options in the Shiseido line. When used right after cleansing and applying an infuser, it absorbs well and leaves a long-lasting glow.
