Maybe at my age, in my 20s, it's not quite the right fit yet? I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances, and the heavy scent gives me a headache. It has this oily sheen that pretends to be moisturizing, but it just feels greasy without actually hydrating. Despite my super sensitive skin, this product has never caused itching, blemishes, or any issues regardless of when I use it. I applied it generously, almost like an emulsion. For reference, I have combination dehydrated skin (with extremely oily areas). After using it this way for a few months, my mom noticed that my freckles and blemishes had faded, making my skin look clearer. There's not much to dislike. My complexion is very fair and prone to freckles and dark spots, so a brightening serum is essential for me. It's one of the more affordable options in the Shiseido line. When used right after cleansing and applying an infuser, it absorbs well and leaves a long-lasting glow. It's somewhat pricey, and although it's marketed as a brightening product, its whitening effects aren't particularly strong. If you apply it to dry skin, you'll need to use more product. I have combination skin, except for my T-zone. Even with 3-4 pumps, it doesn't dispense too much. It's hydrating without feeling heavy or suffocating. I have sensitive eyes, but this causes no irritation at all. While most products tend to pill on my skin, this one doesn't, even when I apply a generous amount, making it perfect for morning use. I'm not sure about its brightening effectiveness, which is supposedly its main feature, but I'll keep using it for how it feels on my skin. Of course, the regular price is steep, so I'll only consider purchasing it duty-free. There are no downsides. Never. To be honest, I'm not sure if it's that great. I saw results with Kiehl's spot corrector, but this one didn't give me that instant brightening effect. It seemed to vary from day to day. I've been using this product and it seems to be gradually showing results. It's definitely much better than the cream from the same line. It's a bit pricey for its effectiveness, and I'm always disappointed with the ingredients. I've been using this for two months straight, and since it's a whitening serum, one bottle isn't quite enough. I feel like you need to keep using it to see results, but I can gradually notice my skin getting brighter... Even though I like this line, I was shocked when I looked at the ingredients. I was about to buy a brightening serum when I remembered how satisfied I was when I first tried this one. So I decided to repurchase it. Rather than making my skin dramatically whiter, it gives an overall brighter complexion. Well... I can't really think of anything disappointing. I'm using it quite well.
