  I've been using this for over 6 months. It's wonderfully hydrating, has a lovely fragrance, and provides excellent moisture.

  1. The rose fragrance is absolutely delightful. 2. Having it on my vanity instantly lifts my mood. 3. It can also be used as a mist! When applied to a cotton pad, it provides a burst of hydration.

  Cons

  1. It's quite expensive. Toners are best when used generously, but that's simply not possible with this one. 2. There's a slight tingling sensation that might be too stimulating for daily use! 3. It's best kept on the vanity for occasional use.

  Tip

  When used as a toner pack, the fragrance is truly wonderful.

  Pros

  I received this product as a gift. The design is beautiful. The luxurious label makes my vanity look prettier. As it's from a brand famous for perfumes, the fragrance is quite strong.

  Cons

  After using it, my face felt tingly, so I searched on Hwahae and found many others with similar experiences. I have sensitive skin and prefer only slightly acidic products and non-irritating cosmetics, but this one stings so I'm not using it. Currently, I'm using Mamonde Rose Water or Chamomile products instead.

  I'm considering applying it on my wrists as an alternative to perfume.

  I first discovered Santa Maria Novella during my early trips to Italy. I used to buy it occasionally when it was hard to find in Korea, so I was thrilled when it officially launched here. I've been trying more of their products, and this winter I've been loving the Tonico per la Pelle. Its healthy floral scent and moisturizing effect have been perfect for the cold months. Fragrance ★★★★ Among the various toners I've used, this one has a particularly strong scent. It's quite pleasant to apply, and the chrysanthemum-like aroma lingers on the skin for a while. However, it might not be everyone's cup of tea - some people might find it too intense. Hydration ★★★★ The texture is slightly viscous and a bit on the heavier side. It's not a lightweight toner, which I usually prefer. I started by applying it directly with my hands, but lately, I've been using a cotton pad for application. Packaging ★★★★★ Santa Maria Novella's signature elegant packaging is on full display here. The thick glass bottle with its beautiful design really stands out on my vanity among other products.

  Cons

  Occasionally, I feel a slight tingling sensation. Since I rotate between several toners, I tend to avoid this one when my skin feels particularly sensitive.

  A review from someone who bought and used this product with their own money: Skin type: Combination skin, becomes normal to dry in winter Prone to whiteheads that often turn into painful pus-filled blemishes 1. Lovely fragrance The scent is truly delightful. A rich, rosy aroma? When I apply it, my husband can't stop sniffing the air around me! The fragrance is so long-lasting and intense that you might not even need perfume. However, those sensitive to scents might find it overwhelming. 2. Elegant packaging The container is so sophisticated and beautiful that I can't help but admire it every time I see it on my vanity!

Stinging sensation after use Whether it's because my skin has become more sensitive lately or this product just doesn't suit me, I experienced a stinging sensation from the very first application. I used it as an exfoliating toner, but when my skin was feeling delicate, it caused too much tingling and redness. I've stopped using it for now. If my skin improves, I'll give it another try, but if it still stings, I'll have to discontinue use altogether. 2. Expensive price point It's incredibly pricey... Even though I took advantage of duty-free shopping, discounts, and loyalty points, it still cost more than your average toner. To be honest, the high price is partly why I haven't thrown it away despite the irritation...

  Pros

  First off, I love the Santa Maria Novella scent, so I enjoyed applying this more than rose water. It goes on moisturizing, and I liked how well my cream absorbed afterwards.

  Cons

  The downside is that it can occasionally feel quite tingling. I think it's because my skin is extremely dry, but it still has more of a burning sensation compared to other toners. Rose water is definitely gentler.

  The scent is overpowering. Those with dry or super sensitive skin should think twice. In my experience, there's a strong alcohol smell, and after a few days of use, it causes a tingling and itching sensation on the face.

  It's a bit too harsh to use on its own. To reduce the tingling sensation, I recommend mixing it 1:1 with a serum and gently wiping it on with a cotton pad.

  The scent was a bit strong, but it was good, and the tacky and moisturizing feel when applied was pleasant.

  Cons

  However, it didn't seem to suit my skin type (oily, sensitive), as it was fine at first, but after using it for a few days, my face would sting and turn red the moment I applied it. So I soon stopped using it.

  But seeing that the people around me were able to use it consistently without any issues, it seems that individual differences in skin type are definitely a factor.
