Perfect for winter-cool eye makeup. It's shimmery but can be used for contouring, making it great for daily use. There's a bit of excess powder fallout, and it's disappointing that the color fades by the afternoon. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinAug 21, 2020
It's called Velvet Plum, but when applied, it's more of a reddish-brown. The shimmer is pretty and it has good staying power, though the color doesn't quite match the name. Among Bobbi Brown products, this one's not particularly impressive. There's usually a reason why popular items are popular, but this doesn't live up to the hype.

I appreciate that there's no redness, so it doesn't make my eyes look puffy. The price is steep. I don't think the color is unique enough to justify the high cost, but that's just personal preference! More importantly... there's a lot of fallout from the shimmer. For me, it's very flaky and irritates my eyes. At this price point, I don't feel it's a must-have. Perfect for when you need a seductive and intense makeup look!

Even a quick single-color application looks absolutely stunning! Pair it with the rose gold shade from the same Barbie line as a middle color, and you've got a knockout look. The pink-purple makeup combo is truly unbeatable! The price... it's a bit steep, unfortunately. Also, if you don't manage the oil on your eyelids well, the staying power can be a bit lacking. For the under-eye area, go for a pink-toned shimmer! As for blush, I highly recommend a purple-toned shade similar to 'Mister Big' to complete the look.
