- Coverage Recommended by MAC store staff for covering redness. The yellow base is great for neutralizing red areas. Slightly covers pores too. - Color Has a strong yellow undertone, which helps neutralize redness and brightens the skin nicely. Worked well for my shade 21 skin. - Packaging The much-discussed applicator... You twist the bottom 4-5 times to open the middle of the brush and dispense the product. Personally, I found it convenient. However! The brush isn't great for blending into the skin, so you need to swipe it on problem areas and then pat it in with your fingers, which is a bit inconvenient. - Texture It's quite runny (though not to the point of dripping), but depending on your skin condition that day, it can sometimes bring out hidden dead skin cells. It's best used when your skincare routine is really on point. & While the packaging is convenient to use, you can't tell how much product is left. Can't even tell by shaking it... I've been using it 2-3 times a week for 5 months and it's still dispensing well like when it was new 𖤐 Overall 𖤐 => It's good for emergency use on particularly blotchy days. It definitely helps even out the overall complexion, but I'm sure there are better products out there. It tends to emphasize flakiness and dry out the skin easily, so it's not really a product I'd recommend! 1/ On days you use this, it's best to avoid heavy creams. There's a risk of the product not adhering well! The feel really varies depending on your skin condition that day... It's definitely best to use only when you're sure your skin is in good condition! 2/ This is my personal pro tip: It can be tricky to blend well with your fingers, but I found that using a cushion puff to pat it in improves both coverage and adherence. Just try to use a new puff if possible. Using an old one might transfer leftover foundation or oils from previous use. - ly*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2017
I found it really convenient that the product dispenses automatically when you turn it. I didn't feel like it adhered particularly well to my skin, so it seemed a bit overpriced for what it offers. - by****Combination SkinSensitive SkinNov 22, 2016
I tried this cushion at the store and bought it right away. The color is beautiful, it's easy to use, and it's moisturizing while providing good coverage. After switching to this cushion, my face started burning for a while. Sometimes it would get so swollen, like after eating late-night snacks, that I wasn't sure what was causing it. I stopped using both products, but when I recently tried just this one again, I had the same reaction. I checked Hwahae to see which ingredient might be causing it, but there are 7 cautionary ingredients listed, so I'm not sure what's causing the issue. Other aspects were fine, but this is disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinOct 28, 2016
It has great adherence and the color looks natural. It's perfect for covering reddish-yellow complexions like mine with its slightly lemon-tinted ivory shade. The absorbs well, making it easy to spread. I didn't realize it had 7 caution ingredients. I mainly apply it around the eyes and sides of the nose. Surprisingly, I haven't experienced any blemishes. I'm particularly sensitive to milia around the eyes, but this works better than using expensive eye creams without any issues. This product is a dream team - you just need to use it! It's my holy grail. It does an excellent job of evening out my patchy skin tone, so I'm really enjoying it.
