The color is beautiful - a mix of pink, purple, and a hint of gray. It applies smoothly, unlike some matte lipsticks. It's not as drying as MAC matte lipsticks, which is great! You absolutely need to buy a sharpener, which is a downside. I don't reach for it often because I find sharpening to be a hassle. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 11, 2019
Never say never... While my lipstick collection is full of similar shades, this color is truly one of a kind. When I first saw it, I was struck by how unique and beautiful it was. I've grown tired of the usual shades, so I was eager to try something new and quickly made the purchase. Never Say Never is... a pink-tinted purple? Or maybe a purple-tinted deep pink? It's that kind of shade, you know? The swatch on my hand in the photo appears a bit darker than it actually is. The color in the comparison swatch with Damned is less accurate than the one you can see in the swatch of all my NARS lip pencils. Still, even the last photo doesn't quite capture the beautiful nuances of Never Say Never. It really is a uniquely charming color. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils have a way of creating a natural, subtle look with a smooth application. They look even more beautiful and natural on the lips than they do swatched on the hand. While other matte lip products can be intense and dry, this one offers a natural color payoff and adheres gently to the lips. It's perfect even for those who usually find matte lips challenging to wear. It's less likely to emphasize dead skin cells compared to other matte lip products, but it's still a good idea to exfoliate before application. Never Say Never is famous as a summer lip color, right? I love using it on days when I want to add a pop of color in the summer. It looks great on its own, but sometimes I pair it with Damned. I apply Never Say Never all over and then dab Damned on the inner part of my lips for a beautiful effect. Damned is also a Velvet Matte Lip pencil, with a purple-tinged wine color. While it might look intense in the pencil, when applied lightly, it complements Never Say Never beautifully. It's a bit heartbreaking to see the color being shaved away when sharpening the pencil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 2, 2019
This is the daily lip product from Yeocool you've been looking for! I've received so many compliments on how beautiful my lip color looks when I wear this. I think I'm on my 8th stick now! It's truly a color I absolutely adore. The only downside is that it can make my lips feel a bit dry after application. I think it's due to the texture. That's why I always make sure to apply a lip base first. I tend to get dry, flaky lips easily. For a lip base, I highly recommend MAC Prep + Prime. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 3, 2019
While the color may vary depending on each person's natural lip tone, this product, which appears strongly purple when swatched on the back of my hand, transforms into the perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade on my summer cool-toned lips. When applied, it creates a very subdued pink hue that looks just like my natural lip color. Although the muted purple tone on hand swatches might not be widely popular, I find it charming and think it's an excellent base color for cool-toned individuals. It also feels comfortable on the lips. Due to its strong purple undertone, this color might be quite polarizing depending on your complexion. Since it's a subtle and not-too-intense shade, if you're wearing this lipstick alone, you might want to add some emphasis to other features of your makeup look. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinNov 1, 2017
It applies smoothly and has decent staying power. The most important thing is the color! It's purple with a hint of pink and has a subtle shimmer - the color is truly beautiful! Despite being purple, it's not too bold and has a soft, wearable feel. Also, the ingredients are better than other NARS lip pencils, haha! The issue with NARS lip pencils is... it feels wasteful when sharpening them... and the price is quite steep... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 7, 2017
Even though I have a darker complexion, the color suits me well and it absorbs beautifully. I'm really happy with it, although I'm not too familiar with the ingredients. It doesn't apply well if you put foundation or concealer on your lips first, as it tends to pill. It's essential to have lips free of dead skin cells and generously moisturized with lip balm before bed. - jo*********Normal SkinMar 29, 2017
It's not a common shade. It's a slightly deep pink with strong violet undertones. There might be a hint of gray in there too... And while I'm not usually a fan of matte lipsticks, this one applies smoothly, making my lips feel comfortable. The color isn't bad, but it doesn't feel like a perfect match for me, so I'm not particularly fond of it. Also, having to sharpen it is inconvenient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 29, 2017
The color in the photo you've shared looks fantastic! When applied, it has this gorgeous purple or lavender tint that's absolutely stunning on slightly darker or chocolate complexions. It's incredibly versatile too - it gives a cool, refreshing look in summer and a warm, cozy vibe in autumn. The shade is truly spot-on! As for the ingredients... well... Are all lip products typically formulated this way? It's not exactly what I'd call a clean beauty option. Since it's a matte formula, avoid using it when you have dry, flaky lips. However, don't apply it right after using a glossy lip balm either, as it won't adhere well and the color won't show up properly. In my experience, the color payoff is best when applied directly to bare lips. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 8, 2016
I can't understand why this isn't more well-known. It's so beautiful! For those worried about dead skin cells because it's matte, just exfoliate your lips before applying. The color is simply gorgeous. It's like a pinkish purple, if I had to describe it. I'm not sure yet. Maybe the hassle of having to sharpen it since it's a pencil? That's about it. It looks beautiful even when applied as a full lip color!
