As someone prone to lip allergies, NARS lipsticks just don't work for me. You have to use it when your skin is in top condition because if your immune system is low, it's a disaster - swollen lips, inflammation, oozing... It's chaos! I can't trust the ingredients in color-focused international brands...

The color, oh the color! Why did they discontinue this? It's like turning on a fluorescent light when I apply it. As someone with a deep undertone who leans towards light undertones, I can't find anything that compares to this...

It applies more smoothly with less settling into fine lines compared to the cheaper Woodbury lip pencil. The original really stands out - it's in a league of its own!

This product has a fatal flaw where you have to sharpen it like a pencil to use it... Since it has a very powdery creamy formula, it already feels like it wears down quickly.
But when you have to keep sharpening it like a pencil, the amount of lipstick that gets wasted is probably around 10,000 won.

- It's better not to expect any plumping effect
Since this is a product without any shading effect, I felt that rather than making my lips look plumper, it made them look thinner.
However, if you don't want to lose the volume of your lips, you can try adding a little shading under your lips and on your philtrum!

1. Uniquely vibrant color❤️
It's incredibly difficult to find fluorescent salmon-colored lipsticks on the market, and even when they are released, they tend to be discontinued quickly...ㅜ But the Nars Bolero is invaluable because it has not been discontinued and is still available. I think that alone gives it exceptional value! For those of you like me who love vibrant, fluorescent shades, I think you'll be incredibly satisfied using it as a lip base or blush!💘💘

The application is matte, so it may become dry later on and the longevity is not extremely long.

The sharpener is too expensive... I looked online and it says you can use the Innisfree sharpener as a substitute, so when you purchase, search for a substitute and buy that one~~

Even when applying highly pigmented products, you can draw along the lip line with a Volero and get the most delicate color! I highly recommend it. It doesn't break and I'm using it well!!

Make sure to thoroughly moisturize your lips with lip balm before using this. It works great on its own, but it also pairs beautifully as a base for nude, pink, coral, and orange lip colors, making them look even more vibrant and flattering.

The only downside is that while it applies nicely, it does become quite matte once it sets. When my lips are in poor condition, it can accentuate the flakiness and dryness, and I've had some bad makeup days because of that. Also, the NARS lip pencil has this slightly gritty texture when it's in my mouth, which I personally don't like - it feels like I'm chewing on something when I'm eating, and it ends up wiping off all the product.

I have relatively dark and very dry lips, but this product has such amazing pigmentation that I would give it 5 stars!!
Even though my lip color is dark, any color I apply just looks the same, making me look older. But on the other hand, products with good pigmentation usually end up cracking my lips, so I hardly use them. However, when I apply Bolero only when my lips are in good condition, it gives me a beautiful, radiant peach nude color. It works great as a base, and it doesn't make my lips stand out too much or make my face look washed out when I don't use it all over.
The NARS lip pencil is much more pointed than lipsticks, so it's easy to apply precisely. Although it's a matte formula, it glides on smoothly and evenly.

You'll need to be careful when closing the lid, as it can leave an imprint.

It's surprisingly creamy. It's not matte. It's not quite a lip gloss like a MAC crayon, but it has a lot of moisture in the stick itself, and when it touches your lips, that moisture comes out. I'd be a bit worried about carrying it around in the summer.
That said, it's not overly soft.

I purchased this product based on the recommendation of YouTuber Rose. The Wake Make Kings Girl is truly a lifesaver for me, and when used in combination with this product, the result is absolutely stunning.
The color is so vibrant that it doesn't get washed out under lighting or the camera. Many people may not know what the real deal is when searching online, but I'd say it's comparable to the Missha Cotton Blusher Ballerina Shoes and the Etude House Single Shadow Peach Latte.
It's so luminous and radiant that it looks beautiful even when used as a blusher.

Be sure to test it out before purchasing!!
