ConsThe texture makes me look a bit older, if I may say so. It's not ideal for layering

It's a rusty coral-pink shade that even suits someone like me with a fear of coral colors. It's moderately moisturizing, making it a safe choice as a base. Above all, the color is absolutely stunning!
ConsI wish they could break free from the Shiseido umbrella...

I recently bought it and tried it on. Given the price point and the swatches I saw, I was worried it might be a muddy orange-brown with grayish undertones, which didn't seem ideal for my autumn mute complexion. Contrary to my concerns, I've been using it daily and loving it. When swatched on the back of my hand, it looked like a muted orange mixed with a dusty pink, making me question my purchase. However, on the lips, it transforms into a demure, toned-down coral-orange that's simply beautiful. I've bought countless lip products claiming to be 'brick red' or 'dried rose,' but they often ended up looking too natural or like a muted pink that aged me. Aritaum's Velvet Red was great, while Dolce Vita was barely noticeable on my lips. This lipstick, though, adds a natural vitality to my lips while giving an innocent look. Usually, brick or dried rose shades make you look calm and sophisticated, but this one adds a touch of freshness to that composed vibe, which I adore. The texture feels like applying a solidified mud mask - it glides on smoothly with excellent color payoff. It might smudge if you apply too much pressure. It's not a sheer, moisturizing formula - it's not drying, but it's not particularly hydrating either. I prefer this, especially with daily mask-wearing, as I'm not fond of glossy finishes these days. A glossy finish wouldn't suit this shade anyway. It applies well even over dry lips without emphasizing flakiness. The magnetic case and its design are absolutely gorgeous. (+) I use it every day, and I think the subtle orange undertone is what makes it work so well for me. Some 'dried rose' shades can look matronly when they're purely toned-down pink, but this one has that hint of orange and some red mixed in, creating a unique, innocent, yet lively color. It's not one of those lipsticks you forget you're wearing. Truly a rare shade... I'll definitely repurchase when I run out.
ConsUnlike my previous go-to lipstick, this one tends to bleed a bit around the lip line when I'm wearing a mask or after eating. It's like an unintentional over-lined lip look! So, I'm not too impressed with its staying power. The formula might smudge if you apply it with too much pressure. Since the color payoff is so good, I just dab it gently on the inner part of my lips and blend outwards. The fingerprint-prone case? Not really bothered by it.
TipWhile the color swatches might not show it, there's a noticeable orange, white, and gray undertone in person. However, once applied to the lips, you'll experience a uniquely innocent and intriguing color.

The application is incredibly smooth, leaving your lips feeling moisturized. It's an excellent lipstick for everyday wear.
ConsThe staying power isn't great... As expected with its moisturizing formula, it tends to smudge easily. Occasionally, it can accentuate dead skin cells on the lips. Nevertheless, I recommend giving it a try as a daily item.

The formula isn't matte, so it feels moisturizing on the lips. I highly recommend this for those with deep undertones.
ConsThe color was too much of a 'my lips but better' shade for my taste...

The color is absolutely stunning... It's so unique, it's hard to find a similar shade. If I had to describe the feeling, it's like a coral with two drops of dried rose? As someone with a deep undertone, it's a perfect match! I highly recommend this for those with deep undertones.
ConsAs it's quite moisturizing, it tends to transfer easily and wears off quickly. The price is a bit wicked.

My sister just bought it and she absolutely loves it. It's especially flattering for those with a deep undertone, giving a sultry and captivating look. The lipstick glides on smoothly, with a more moisturizing feel compared to the slightly matte lip pencil line. Don't worry, it's not greasy at all! The texture feels comfortable on the lips. The color payoff is incredible! It applies smoothly and the shade matches the tube color exactly. This might vary person to person, but it's particularly flattering on light warm skin tones. If Dolce Vita suits you well, give this one a try! The lipstick packaging is sleek and stylish - the matte black exterior is simply classic. Plus, the magnetic closure gives a satisfying click when you close it. I can't stop fidgeting with it! The NARS lettering engraved on the lipstick body is also super chic.
ConsThe case picks up fingerprints... I guess that's the price of being high-tech? The NARS logo on the case exterior is subtly printed in black, so at a glance, you might not even realize it's NARS. I wish they had made the branding a bit more noticeable to show off the brand. The price is a bit steeper than the lip pencil at $41, but I console myself with the fact that at least I don't have to sharpen it.
TipShow some savvy and avoid impulsive department store purchases - you can find better deals online!

I have a deep undertone, and this shade is a perfect match. I wear it every day. It's so smooth, and one swipe gives full color payoff. I'll definitely repurchase... it's amazing!
ConsThe only downside is that because it's so creamy, it wears down quickly.

It's perfect for my warm undertones. As the original MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade, no other colors can compare!
ConsIt transfers too easily. I can't use a lip fixer because it smudges the lip color, so I end up not using the fixer at all. Apart from that, everything else is great.

While it's not my perfect match, the orange undertones create a natural, healthy glow when applied lightly. It can look a bit intense if applied heavily, but interestingly, it settles into a more natural look over time. I'm satisfied because I wanted an autumnal shade like this! It's a color that truly adheres to deep undertone complexions. The formula is moisturizing, so it barely emphasizes dead skin cells, and the color payoff is true to the bullet. And let's not forget the irresistible design! NARS never disappoints in aesthetics. The magnetic lipstick cap is especially enticing (that satisfying click!). If I had a deep undertone, this would've been my go-to pocket item!
ConsAs someone with a deep undertone, the shade is slightly disappointing. And of course, there's the hefty price tag to consider.
TipNARS Jane can still look beautiful on deep undertones - we have the gradient technique at our disposal! Try applying NARS Jane as a base, then layer a more saturated shade in the center of your lips (Pia's 'Sensual' worked well for me!).
