It's a muted orange-brick or nude tone. The formula feels firm yet smooth, but it can accentuate dead skin cells, so it's essential to prep with lip balm before application!
ConsThe price is quite steep! I'd hesitate to pay full price... The color itself is a bit plain, so I highly recommend waiting for a big sale to purchase. I bought mine through direct overseas purchase for around $10!

I recently bought it and tried it on. Given the price point and the swatches I saw, I was worried it might be a muddy orange-brown with grayish undertones, which didn't seem ideal for my autumn mute complexion. Contrary to my concerns, I've been using it daily and loving it. When swatched on the back of my hand, it looked like a muted orange mixed with a dusty pink, making me question my purchase. However, on the lips, it transforms into a demure, toned-down coral-orange that's simply beautiful. I've bought countless lip products claiming to be 'brick red' or 'dried rose,' but they often ended up looking too natural or like a muted pink that aged me. Aritaum's Velvet Red was great, while Dolce Vita was barely noticeable on my lips. This lipstick, though, adds a natural vitality to my lips while giving an innocent look. Usually, brick or dried rose shades make you look calm and sophisticated, but this one adds a touch of freshness to that composed vibe, which I adore. The texture feels like applying a solidified mud mask - it glides on smoothly with excellent color payoff. It might smudge if you apply too much pressure. It's not a sheer, moisturizing formula - it's not drying, but it's not particularly hydrating either. I prefer this, especially with daily mask-wearing, as I'm not fond of glossy finishes these days. A glossy finish wouldn't suit this shade anyway. It applies well even over dry lips without emphasizing flakiness. The magnetic case and its design are absolutely gorgeous. (+) I use it every day, and I think the subtle orange undertone is what makes it work so well for me. Some 'dried rose' shades can look matronly when they're purely toned-down pink, but this one has that hint of orange and some red mixed in, creating a unique, innocent, yet lively color. It's not one of those lipsticks you forget you're wearing. Truly a rare shade... I'll definitely repurchase when I run out.
ConsUnlike my previous go-to lipstick, this one tends to bleed a bit around the lip line when I'm wearing a mask or after eating. It's like an unintentional over-lined lip look! So, I'm not too impressed with its staying power. The formula might smudge if you apply it with too much pressure. Since the color payoff is so good, I just dab it gently on the inner part of my lips and blend outwards. The fingerprint-prone case? Not really bothered by it.
TipWhile the color swatches might not show it, there's a noticeable orange, white, and gray undertone in person. However, once applied to the lips, you'll experience a uniquely innocent and intriguing color.

The application is incredibly smooth, leaving your lips feeling moisturized. It's an excellent lipstick for everyday wear.
ConsThe staying power isn't great... As expected with its moisturizing formula, it tends to smudge easily. Occasionally, it can accentuate dead skin cells on the lips. Nevertheless, I recommend giving it a try as a daily item.

Since last year, there's been a trend of brick-orange lip colors, but this one might be the best among them. Holy grail. - It doesn't look too brown, and it's like a dried orange with a drop of coral, making it perfect for daily wear. Even with a bare face, just applying this gives a subtly pure look..! - It's really moisturizing! As someone with dry skin who always carries lip balm, unless it's a day when my dead skin cells are really bad, I can just apply this directly! - The case is so chic❣️ Although it does collect fingerprints easily, the clean rectangular all-black design is gorgeous. It's a versatile item you can pull out and apply anywhere.
Cons- Due to the low saturation of the color, sometimes when applied to a completely bare face, it can make you look a bit dull. Just a little brightening moisturizer before application makes it look pretty.
TipIf you have a deep undertone, you absolutely must buy this!

While it's not my perfect match, the orange undertones create a natural, healthy glow when applied lightly. It can look a bit intense if applied heavily, but interestingly, it settles into a more natural look over time. I'm satisfied because I wanted an autumnal shade like this! It's a color that truly adheres to deep undertone complexions. The formula is moisturizing, so it barely emphasizes dead skin cells, and the color payoff is true to the bullet. And let's not forget the irresistible design! NARS never disappoints in aesthetics. The magnetic lipstick cap is especially enticing (that satisfying click!). If I had a deep undertone, this would've been my go-to pocket item!
ConsAs someone with a deep undertone, the shade is slightly disappointing. And of course, there's the hefty price tag to consider.
TipNARS Jane can still look beautiful on deep undertones - we have the gradient technique at our disposal! Try applying NARS Jane as a base, then layer a more saturated shade in the center of your lips (Pia's 'Sensual' worked well for me!).

The matte black magnetic case alone feels luxurious and high-end. Now, despite having darker skin that usually matches with shade 23 foundations, this lipstick doesn't look too dark or ashy, nor does it appear too light and floaty. It blends beautifully with my complexion. I can see why it's called the representative lipstick for deep undertones. At first glance, you might think it's an orange-beige, but when applied, it's more of a peachy brown with a subtle pink tint. It gives off a sophisticated vibe without being too flashy - perfect for an autumn MLBB look. I compared it with similar shades from drugstore brands, and Jane's lipstick has a more toned-down coral-peach feel. The texture is moisturizing, not overly glossy, but with a nice buttery sheen. Usually, these shades come in matte formulas, which I tend to avoid due to my dry lips, so this product is a godsend for me.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, maybe the price? The lipstick might seem a bit small for the cost...
TipIf you have a deep undertone, especially if you're muted, you absolutely need to buy this!

It's a beautiful coral-red shade. The formula is also nicely moisturizing.
ConsThe staying power is a bit disappointing. If you prefer matte textures, this might not be for you. It has a moderate level of hydration.

It worked great for me, and I used it extensively during fall and winter. The color is quite unique - it has hints of orange and deep pink, creating an intriguing shade.
ConsThe scent is reminiscent of crayons, which might be off-putting. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not storing it properly during summer, and it melted. What a shame!

The color is absolutely gorgeous. It has a slight reddish tint, but it's more of a beige-orange-brown blend. The subtle, mysterious hue is perfect when you want a break from reds or pinks.
ConsSince it's not a tint, it does come off easily. You'll need to keep up with your dead skin cells management too.

The color is a perfect orange-brown with a few drops of dried rose mixed in. It's especially beautiful in autumn, but I've been using it almost daily regardless of the season. It creates a calm yet vibrant look without appearing overly mature. I have dry lips and usually prefer moisturizing tints or balm-type lip products over lipsticks, but the Audacious line, despite its matte appearance, applies incredibly smoothly and feels very hydrating! I highly recommend Jane to anyone looking for a great fall lipstick.
ConsPlease note that due to its smooth application, it may transfer a bit more than other matte lipsticks.
