Not knowing why, I thought that's just how it was supposed to be, so I either forced myself to use them or often skipped applying altogether. I used to buy sunscreens based solely on the SPF, without even knowing whether they were chemical or physical filters. It really made me realize that knowledge is power. By chance, I saw Lee Hyun-i's sunscreen recommendation and after researching, I heard it was gentle, so I decided to buy it. My priority was to find something that wouldn't sting my eyes, and if it could also act as a base for skin correction, that would be great, so I got the tinted version. When I applied it, I was amazed! Not only did the sunscreen not sting my eyes, but it also had an incredible texture. It didn't leave a significant white cast and naturally evened out my skin texture, making it perfect as a base. I had also tried the Toso* physical sunscreen before, and while physical sunscreens are known for less eye irritation, they're also infamous for their thick texture and white cast. This product, however, is like a revolution in physical sunscreens. It's no secret that I've recommended it to my entire family, and we're all using Rovectin now! I tried something else briefly because I got a bit bored, but it's also no secret that I'm planning to come back to this one!
ConsThe ingredients aren't completely clean, unfortunately. First, the white case gets dirty easily, and the formula is quite runny, so it can spill messily when squeezed. The price is high for the amount you get, so it's best to buy it during sales or when it's offered as a gift with purchase. Just be careful of the ones with approaching expiration dates they sometimes give out. Like many sunscreens, it doesn't exactly give you a glow when applied alone, but rather leaves a bit of shine. So if you're using it by itself, it might be good to lightly dust some oil-control powder on top. Despite these drawbacks, I haven't found a substitute for this product yet, so I'll continue using it!

But then I came across mineral sunscreens and thought that might be a better option, so I looked into it a bit more. After searching around, I found this one had the best reviews, so I decided to go with it. I was worried about the white cast and makeup pilling issues that are often mentioned with mineral sunscreens, but it doesn't leave a stark white cast and it's not overly drying either. Even though I'm a bit on the drier side, it doesn't feel super drying. It kind of has a primer-like feel when I apply it.
ConsIt does ooze out a bit messily, and it can feel a bit like it's sitting on top of the skin when applying. But it's not like it's coming off in chunks or anything like that.
TipI like to apply it before doing my makeup in the mornings, when I'm rushing to get ready for work. I give it a bit of time to absorb so it works better. And I apply it in thin, layered applications rather than one thick coat. I just recently learned about the importance of shaking it before use, which is good to know.

There is a slight whitening effect, but since my skin is already quite dark, it won't be an issue for most people!!! 2. It helps soothe acne scars...!!! It's really good! You can just apply sunscreen and go out with a bare face, so most people do that. 3. Breakouts don't occur. My skin is quite sensitive, so if I use the wrong sunscreen, it can cause inflammatory acne to flare up. But after researching, I found that the ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate ingredient doesn't agree with me ㅠㅜ Using sunscreens with that ingredient is like a volcanic eruption for me...I don't even want to imagine it. Anyway, I've never had any breakouts while using this product. When I was going around without much makeup, my skin actually recovered and felt healthier...?!? 4. It doesn't leave an oily finish. Dry-skinned people may find it difficult to use, so do a patch test ㅠㅠ It's great that it doesn't leave an oily residue, so you don't need to use blotting papers.
ConsHmm... The main issue is that it's too runny... It just flows out, so some people may dislike that!

This is the first time I've repurchased a sunscreen in this price range. It also provides skin coverage, so I can just apply this and do light makeup when I want to. It's completely non-sticky and I absolutely love it. This is a sunscreen I want to keep to myself.
ConsThere's really nothing disappointing, but when it's really hot, it tends to melt and run down. It becomes a bit watery, so it's hard to control the amount. But aside from that, it's a perfect sunscreen. And I wish the price was just a little bit lower.

But it's not at that level - you'd still need to apply a separate primer, and as a mineral sunscreen, there is still some white cast, and the milky formula isn't super thick and creamy. But the best part is that as a pure mineral sunscreen, there are absolutely no skin troubles!!! And among mineral sunscreens, this is the one that applies the most seamlessly with foundation and stays on the longest, which is why I'm so enthusiastically writing this review and why that was the most satisfying part for me!!
ConsThe formula is just too watery, so I think it'll be quite polarizing ㅠㅠ It's a hassle to have to shake it before use, and you have to be really careful when applying it, much more so than a regular cream product... As soon as you open the cap, it just starts pouring out, so controlling the amount is inconvenient!! And I'm not sure if it's available in stores, but it doesn't seem very common... It's a shame that it's hard to test it out in person!!
TipWhen you first apply this watery product right after your skincare routine, it can feel a bit slippery and hard to spread. In that case, try giving your skincare some time to absorb, like eating a meal, so the surface moisture has reduced a bit. Then it'll apply smoothly and evenly! Or you could try lightening up your skincare routine a bit, like I did. And be sure to really massage and pat it in when applying! I know it feels like there's no time in the morning, but if spending 30 extra seconds on your sunscreen is making you late, then you were probably going to be late anyway, right? Haha I'd recommend the Rovectin product to those who just can't tolerate chemical sunscreens at all and won't accept even the slightest bit of a skin reaction. And for those who can handle a little bit of trouble, but would rather have a more seamless, skin-like makeup finish, I'd suggest the Too Cool For School Jangjo-long!

ConsThe disappointing aspect was that it felt like it was dripping out like water, so I think it would have been better if it had been in a more cream-like form.

I like that the ingredients are reassuring, and the lightweight application and tone-correcting properties are great.
ConsYou have to shake it before use, and since it's a liquid type, it tends to run a bit.
TipMixing it 1:1 with a base makes it perfect for light makeup.

Just swiping it on with my hands felt so nice. Since it's a thin formula, there's no thick or sticky feeling at all - it spreads smoothly and evenly without any stickiness. When applying and finishing, it doesn't feel sticky or greasy at all, just soft and powdery, which I liked. Personally, I think it's a bit heavier than the Biore UV Aqua Rich, but has a similar soft, powdery finish to the Biore UV Mild Care Milk. The Biore Mild Care Milk has a really nice powdery finish, but in the winter I couldn't use it because it made my face feel too dry. But with the Rohto Tinted product, I don't have that drying feeling. It's not super moisturizing, but it's not overly drying either, and the oil control is good over time. It does a great job of color-correcting, so I can just wear this sunscreen and skip the makeup base when I'm running out quickly. When I do wear foundation, I found that if I apply the full recommended amount of this sunscreen, it can look a bit too luminous and pale. So I started applying half the amount of a non-whitening sunscreen first, then topping it with this product, and that gives a more natural finish.
ConsI'm not sure how to describe the scent, but it has a slight earthy or foundation-like smell. The scent isn't great, but it doesn't bother me too much. If you're sensitive to fragrance, you may dislike it. The formula squeezes out quite liquidy, so it's not easy to control the amount.

However, the Rovectin Skin Sunscreen whitens naturally without looking chalky. It's like a subtle tone-up effect. For those who don't have many skin troubles, it can be used lightly for a nice finish. If it seems a bit lacking, using a concealer on top works well. I'm quite sensitive, so I can't use just anything, but this one feels good - it's lightweight and doesn't look obvious. My mom and I have been using it together, and she likes it too.
ConsThe only downside is that it's a bit of a runny liquid formula, so it can be a little inconvenient when dispensing it onto the back of the hand. But overall, it's still usable.
