I tried this emulsion that I had received as a gift before! First off, since it's a The Body Shop product, I used it with confidence due to the brand's reputation. My skin tends to be sensitive and dry all over, so I need to apply emulsion generously right after showering. I really appreciated that the lid was easy to open and close when applying the product! As someone sensitive to fragrances, I initially applied it thinking 'Oh, this smells nice~', but even for a fragrance lover like me, the scent was overwhelmingly strong. As I continued using it, I started to worry if the high fragrance content might be harmful. Also, the emulsion dried faster than expected, so it didn't seem to provide deep hydration. No matter how generously I applied it, I felt like it wasn't truly moisturizing my skin properly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJun 24, 2020
The fragrance is absolutely delightful. When I apply it, I feel like I'm rolling in a field of flowers. The price is a bit steep. It's a shame because I'd love to slather it on generously, but the cost holds me back. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 30, 2019
As someone who suffers from extremely dry, cracked legs in winter and has hyperhidrosis on my hands, I'm usually not a fan of applying emulsions. However, I find myself reaching for this one even in cold weather. The reason? The fragrance is absolutely divine! I received this emulsion as part of a set with the body wash, and when I first tried the body wash, I fell in love with the scent. Naturally, I had to try the emulsion too, and I was completely smitten. Applying it to my legs before bed is a treat - the lovely aroma helps me drift off to sleep more easily. The texture is fluid, making it easy to apply, and while the absorption is average, the scent more than makes up for it. The only downside is that it's a bit tricky to control how much product comes out. I thought I'd squeezed just a tiny amount, but ended up with way more than I needed - more than the size of a 500 won coin! It was quite surprising at first. A word of caution: the fragrance might be a bit overwhelming if you apply it all over your body. I prefer using it on specific areas for a subtle, pleasant scent that works perfectly for me! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 27, 2018
It's absolutely fantastic and leaves me breathless! The hydration power is off the charts. I can't wait to buy it again! Well, I'll be darned if there's anything to complain about. It's all good! I'm itching to get my hands on another one. See you next time! Nothing to add! - lo**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresNov 29, 2017
1. Absorbs well ♡♡♡♡ It absorbs without feeling heavy. In winter, you can even apply it a couple more times after the initial absorption. Since it's winter now, my legs get a bit dry, so I apply it multiple times after showering. Still, it absorbs quickly. I think it's because the texture isn't runny - I actually don't like thin body emulsions, but this one is quite usable. 2. Scent ♡♡♡ The fragrance isn't overpowering, with a subtle floral scent that I enjoy. It's not irritating, yet not too weak either. When I apply it, a gentle aroma lingers in the room. It's not strong enough to tire out your nose, but not so faint that you can't smell it - just the right balance. I gave it 3 points because it's not my favorite scent, but fragrance preferences can vary. 3. Hydration ♡♡♡♡ It's not too sticky, and while the texture could easily spill if you're not careful, it seems to absorb well, which makes the moisturizing effect last longer. As someone with combination dehydrated skin on my face, I used to dislike applying sticky sunscreens or body creams on my body too. However, this product absorbs lightly while still providing decent hydration, which I appreciate. 1. The texture is a bit runny, so I spilled it a few times. 2. The price is a bit steep. I recommend buying it when it's on sale. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 26, 2017
The fragrance is incredibly strong~ It's like you've doused yourself in perfume! The scent is unnecessarily overpowering... I bought it because blogs raved about it, but it lacks hydration. And why is there a surfactant in the emulsion? Are we supposed to shower with this? I wouldn't recommend purchasing this. - lj*****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMar 25, 2017
The fragrance is absolutely delightful! Personally, I've experienced headaches and discomfort from products with strong scents, but this one causes no such issues. Everyone seems to agree that it smells wonderful! What's more, the scent lasts for an incredibly long time. The consistency is slightly thin, which makes it absorb well into the skin. Despite not having extremely dry skin, I find it's a bit too light to use on its own during winter months! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 25, 2017
The fragrance is absolutely delightful! It has a typical white emulsion texture, but with a slight blue tint. The application and absorption are quite good. When I apply it all over my body in my room, it makes me sneeze - probably due to the strong scent. Considering the price-to-volume ratio and how quickly it's used up, the moisturizing effect, which is essential for a body emulsion, isn't great. This makes it feel a bit expensive. It's fine if you just want to smell nice, though. I like The Body Shop products, and I knew what I was getting into, but as expected, the ingredients are a bit questionable. - kp******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMar 19, 2017
The scent is absolutely divine! I don't know if it's because I love gardenia fragrance, but I really adore it! It provides just the right amount of hydration for summer - you could easily use this alone. Due to my extremely dry skin, I always use this with an oil except during summer. I came here to write a review and noticed there are quite a few potential allergens in the ingredients list, which is unfortunate. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 2, 2017
It absorbs well and has a pleasant scent. It's not sticky at all, but rather has a lightweight, fluid consistency. The hydration power is a bit weak. It might not be the best choice for use in the dead of winter or for those with very dry skin.
