THEBODYSHOP Drops of Light Pure Clarifying Foaming Wash

My skin is combination. After using The Body Shop's body care line, I transitioned to their skincare line and purchased a neat set. I was very satisfied with the serum in this line, so I also bought the cleansing foam, even though I already had a few. They claim the rich and creamy lather removes impurities, but it didn't quite meet my expectations.

Why can't I find the abundant lather I was expecting in the product I bought? I was hoping for the dense, thick foam like Senka's. But the foam isn't dense at all and doesn't lather well. I have to rub my palms together for a while to get a decent amount, but even then, the foam is loose and my arms get tired. And while using it, I noticed water seeps in through the lid gap much more than other products. The lid area just doesn't seem well-designed to me. Not only does water get in through the lid-body gap, but the lid opening itself also feels loose, so I have to turn it upside down after every shower to shake off the water. Towards the end, the formula even turned watery and didn't squeeze out properly, but the contents would pool in the lid when I opened it. I wondered if it was because of my own handling, but the other 4 foam products I use don't have this issue, only this one. The Drops of Light base is fine, but the foam itself wasn't. I don't think I'll repurchase or recommend this. The attached photos show the product that seeped out of the lid during my last use, and the litmus test I did.

I really want to know some tips for getting a rich, creamy lather.

The cleansing power is great👍 I feel like I'm thoroughly cleansed, and even a small amount can clean me up nicely. After washing, I feel squeaky clean. The fragrance is also nice, and for my level of makeup (just sunscreen and the Luna foundation), using this cleansing oil, followed by two foam cleansers, makes me feel like everything is completely washed away. This powerful foam cleanser seems great for those who use cleansing tissues for a perfect deep cleanse.

The cleansing power might be too strong, so I'm hesitant to use it three times as a foam cleanser. I also deducted one star for the price.
