My skin type is combination. I used to only use The Body Shop's body line, but I decided to try their skincare line and bought this product in its sleek packaging. I was so satisfied with the serum from this line that I decided to purchase the cleansing foam, even though I already had a few other cleansers. It claims to remove impurities with rich and dense foam, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. Why can't I find the rich lather in the product I bought? I was expecting the dense, thick foam like Senka's. However, the foam wasn't dense at all and didn't lather well. I had to rub my palms together for quite a while to get a decent amount, and even then, the foam was sparse and it was tiring for my arms. Also, while using it, water seemed to get in between the lid so easily, which I didn't like compared to other products. Water not only got in between the body and the lid, but the lid itself was loose, so I had to turn it upside down and shake off the water after every shower. Towards the end, when I was almost finished with it, the formula became watery, and even without squeezing, the contents would pool in the cap when I opened it. I wondered if it was due to my poor maintenance, but out of the four foam products I use, this was the only one with this issue. It seems the Drops of Light line might be okay for basic skincare, but not for cleansing foam. I can't recommend this or consider repurchasing. I've attached photos of the contents that leaked into the cap during the last use and the litmus test results. Please consider this when making your purchase decision. I'd really love to know some tips for getting a rich, abundant lather. - js*****Dry SkinRecommendedJun 3, 2019
Great cleansing effectiveness! It gives a thorough clean feeling, and even a small amount seems to cleanse effectively. My skin feels squeaky clean after washing. The scent is nice too. I usually wear sunscreen and Luna foundation, and after using cleansing oil followed by this foam cleanser twice, then another foam cleanser once, I feel like everything's completely washed off. For those who use cleansing tissues, this seems to be a powerful foam cleanser that's great for a perfect cleanse. I'm a bit worried the cleansing power might be too strong to use this foam cleanser three times in a row. I also deducted a star for the price. Recommended for those with oily skin. Also great for people who wear full makeup. And if you've got deep pockets, this one's for you too! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 29, 2017
I used to have a vitamin C line product that I loved, but it was discontinued. So I tried this similar line that was recommended to me. There are no granules, so it seems gentle on the skin. It's smooth and creates a nice lather when you work it up. The texture is pleasantly rich. I never really understood what deep dryness meant until I used this product. After rinsing, my skin feels squeaky clean, but it's like all the oil and moisture have been stripped away. It leaves me feeling like I've aged instantly! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 26, 2017
The creamy lather feels soft and pleasant. As an expectant mother, I decided to look into the ingredients and was pleasantly surprised by how good they are! It does seem a bit pricey. However, since it claims to cleanse away fine dust particles, I'll trust it and give it a try. - ma******Combination SkinMar 12, 2017
I bought this because I like The Body Shop, and the feel of it isn't bad at all~ Rather than having any standout features, it's just a solid, reliable product. I'd give it three and a half stars! As for repurchasing, I'm not quite sure. They say the brightening effects show up with consistent use, so I'll have to keep an eye on that. While it's a decent product, I feel it's a bit underwhelming considering the price.
