The woody scent exceeded my expectations. It's a unisex fragrance that's not too light, with a subtle lingering note that I think will appeal to most people. I've been wearing it daily. The longevity doesn't seem to be very long. However, the subtle lingering scent makes up for it. Jo Malone sells 9ml perfumes separately, which are great for carrying around. If this becomes your favorite scent, I recommend getting the 9ml size too. - eu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 15, 2024
Packaging: A rectangular glass bottle with a label on one side displaying the fragrance name. I love that you can see the contents inside. Scent: Based on the name alone, I imagined notes of wood, sea, and salt, but the actual scent was a bit different from what I expected. I found the middle notes more appealing than the initial scent. It's somewhat familiar yet unique, and among all the Jo Malone fragrances I've tried, this one is the most difficult to describe. It has a light (not too deep) woody aroma with a cool undertone, reminiscent of soap or fabric softener - comforting and familiar, but distinctly different from fragrances known for their soapy notes. The opening was notably strong with a hint of (Middle Eastern) spices, which I've encountered in some foreign friends' perfumes and occasionally in men's fragrances. This note fades over time, but it gives the scent a unisex quality and an international flair. Surprisingly, there's no salty sea breeze. Instead, it evokes a sense of walking along the coast with a cool breeze and trees nearby - very refreshing. While I was unsure about the initial scent, I really enjoyed it from the middle notes onward, finding it very comfortable. Suitable for all genders, though it might not appeal to those who prefer floral or sweet fragrances. While many recommend it as a summer scent, I think it might feel a bit heavy in midsummer heat. It seems more suited for spring and fall. Longevity: It varies depending on how much you apply and differs from person to person. For me, applying 2 sprays on the wrist and 2-3 on the upper body lasted about as long as 2 sprays of a regular perfume. The longevity is short, but being a cologne, you can adjust the concentration. If you've struggled with other fragrances being too strong, this might actually work better for you. Jo Malone is famous for its lackluster longevity and poor sillage that doesn't justify the price tag. However, they're wickedly good at creating scents that somehow make you want to buy them despite the exorbitant cost! - qx********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedJun 21, 2024
This fragrance lifts my mood every time I spray it. There's no strong alcohol scent, and I absolutely adore it! Unfortunately, the longevity decreases proportionally as time passes. Jo Malone fragrances are known for their shorter staying power, which is disappointing. - bo**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 1, 2024
• I bought it because I love the scent. Personally, I feel it's suitable for all seasons - spring, summer, fall, and winter. • The bottle is so pretty that it's a shame to throw it away when it's empty. • The lasting power is extremely weak. You need to carry it around and reapply frequently throughout the day to maintain the scent. - gg******Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 4, 2024
The scent is subtle and comforting, not overpowering. It feels like a fragrance that would appeal to most people. On the flip side, because the scent is so subtle, others might not even realize you're wearing perfume. - ji*****Dry SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2024
After exploring all the famous perfume shops, I chose this one for its most delightful fragrance. The biggest drawback of Jo Malone perfumes is their weak longevity. - cm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedApr 10, 2024
The fragrance is absolutely delightful, with woody notes from the first whiff to the lingering scent. It's perfectly refreshing for summer wear. Even considering it's a cologne, it's disappointing how quickly the scent fades away. - sa******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 26, 2024
At first, I wasn't sure what to make of it, but the more I sprayed, the more I fell in love with the scent. It's a woody fragrance, but crafted in a way that feels universally appealing - probably the least divisive among woody scents. While some Jo Malone floral fragrances can be overly feminine and lack staying power, making you feel like you've wasted your money, this one is uniquely captivating. I use it enthusiastically. Of all the Jo Malone fragrances I've tried, this is the one I'm most likely to repurchase. True to Jo Malone's reputation, the longevity is poor, but if you apply it multiple times, the scent does last quite a while. Some fragrances are so strong or intense that reapplying can be inconsiderate to others, but this has a softer woody feel, so it's okay to spray it several times. - jn*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 4, 2024
It's refreshing and crisp... There's a hint of ocean breeze, and it's slightly sweet. Being a unisex fragrance, it's versatile enough for anyone to wear comfortably. It seems to be a bit mood-dependent? While this is probably true for all fragrances, this one is just so neutral that there's nothing to complain about... except the price. It's great for layering with other fragrances too. - hw******Dehydrated SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 12, 2023
The scent is cozy and pleasant. I don't really detect any ocean smell, to be honest. The staying power is extremely weak. It's so feeble... truly weak. I wonder why. Sigh.
