The rich texture is great for moisturizing. It's perfect for when you want to focus on intense hydration. The included spatula is a nice touch for hygiene. It doesn't absorb well and feels like it's just sitting on the skin. When you rub it in, there's pilling, like dead skin cells coming off. It's not effective for exfoliating or calming the skin - it actually seems to emphasize skin texture issues. It's best to pat it on and use it at night. Not recommended for use under makeup, as it doesn't work well as a base. - dl**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessMar 18, 2025
I apply it twice a day, and with consistent use, it keeps my skin hydrated and brightens my complexion. Even when I apply just a small amount, it pills like dead skin cells, which is frustrating. - nh****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 4, 2024
True to its name, it's a night cream. Don't apply it before makeup as it will cause pilling. I like that it's not too heavy of a cream. When I went to buy this, the staff member said it was too oily... But I don't find it greasy at all, so I've been using it for almost 6 years now. I guess it's different for everyone. - ma******Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 17, 2024
I'm on my third tube of this cream. It has a nice, medium consistency and I love that it's unscented, which keeps things clean and simple. I'm not a fan of strong fragrances. It's great because it provides hydration without feeling greasy, leaving my skin feeling moisturized. There's nothing particularly bad about it. However, I do feel the amount you get for the price could be a bit more generous. - ss******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJul 20, 2024
User Skin Type: - Skin type: Sensitive / Dry - Skin concerns: Deep dryness / Redness / Pores (T-zone) / Dark spots Reason for Purchase: I was looking for a cream with good moisturizing properties and functionality to differentiate between night and morning care routines. Review After Use: Sometimes when I apply a light cream at night, I feel dryness in the morning (especially on my cheeks). However, this cream has excellent hydration, leaving my skin feeling plump until morning, giving me the impression that my skin has improved. I'm even more satisfied because it has brightening properties. I've almost finished the entire jar and I'm 100% willing to repurchase it as my night cream. For those with oily T-zones, apply only a small amount! I think even those with combination skin could use it well this way. Recommendation: I recommend this for summer night care for those with dry skin. In winter, I think everyone except those with extremely oily skin will be satisfied with both its moisturizing effect and texture. - js*****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessMay 9, 2024
I didn't find any benefits while using it. I might try it for moisturizing my heels instead. I received this as a birthday gift and tried it, but every time I used it, the next day I'd wake up with blemishes I've never seen on my face before. It's not just one or two pimples, but tiny bumps all over, almost like small blisters? These tiny acne-like spots would appear all over my face - on my cheeks, forehead, and even beside my nose. I'm not usually sensitive to skincare, so at first I thought it was a coincidence. But after experiencing the same symptoms every time I applied this cream over a couple of months, I'm convinced this is the problem. I joined Hwahae just to review this. I've truly never seen such blemishes on my face before. I guess I'll have to use it on my heels instead. What a disappointment! - lm****Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedMar 15, 2024
It absorbs beautifully, leaving skin feeling soft and fresh. I recommend using it generously as a sleeping pack on its own. When you wake up the next morning, you'll notice your dead skin cells are significantly reduced and your skin looks more refined. When used with other serums or essences, it tends to pill a bit, which is a bit disappointing. - ch***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2024
I've been using this for its brightening effects, and while I'm not sure about the whitening, the hydration is amazing! When I use this alone, my skin feels like a baby's the next day - it's incredible! It's a bit rich, so those with dry skin or who dislike any oiliness on their face might not enjoy this product as much I recommend applying just the right amount. If you use too much, it won't absorb well and might pill like dead skin cells - as********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 5, 2024
My previous emulsion wasn't moisturizing enough, causing dead skin cells to appear within an hour. This one, however, keeps my skin flake-free for over 5 hours, which is great. Plus, I love that the scent isn't overpowering. I bought this expecting a light, watery texture since it's a hydrating cream, but it's much thicker than I anticipated. It's not as moisturizing as I hoped, but it's still usable. - Hwahae UserDry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJan 13, 2024
It doesn't cause any blemishes, and there's no greasy feeling after application. You can easily purchase it on Olive Young. Since it's a cream type that you scoop out, it feels a bit unsanitary. After applying, it has more of a matte finish rather than a moisturized feel.
