  La Roche-Posay products are great because they have gentle ingredients, as expected from a dermatological skincare brand. The transparent gel formula comes in a pump bottle, making it hygienic and convenient to use. While it doesn't lather much, the finish feels incredibly soft, slippery, and hydrating, similar to a low pH cleansing foam. It's an all-over cleanser for face and body, so you only need to pack this one product when traveling. It's especially beneficial when your skin is dry or super sensitive.

  Pros

  No fragrance. Lathers well. Suitable as a second cleanser. Leaves skin feeling neither too squeaky clean nor too dry.

  Cons

  While there aren't any major drawbacks, if I had to point out one, occasionally I question its cleansing effectiveness. It's absolutely not suitable as a primary cleanser when wearing sunscreen or makeup.

  Pros

  It's truly gentle and doesn't cause any dryness at all. Most cleansers leave my skin feeling dry after washing, but this one cleanses softly and keeps my skin hydrated.

  It lathers up well, just like dish soap. I love that it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after washing. It's incredibly hydrating!

  It smells like dish soap, which makes me feel a bit odd every time I wash my face. Also, as I continued using it, the texture seemed to get thinner. It started squirting out like a water gun, which was quite surprising. While I generally like and use La Roche-Posay products, I won't be repurchasing this one.

  Pros

  For a gel cleanser, it produces an impressive amount of foam while still leaving my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized. I absolutely love this product! The scent reminds me of old-school dish soap, but I don't think skincare or cleansing products necessarily need fragrance, so it doesn't bother me at all.

  There's absolutely nothing to complain about with this product!

  Pros

  Even if skin types are divided into dry and oily, I think it can still vary from person to person. I have dry skin, so I always try to avoid double cleansing. That's why I've been searching for a moisturizing, slightly acidic cleanser. While removing makeup is crucial, I believe it's inevitable that if the cleansing power is too strong, it can irritate the skin. La Roche-Posay B5 has moderate cleansing effectiveness, a gentle formula, and the added benefit of containing panthenol. When removing makeup, I found it worked well to first wipe with a cleansing water, then follow up with this cleanser.

  Cons

  The size seems a bit small, so I wish they would come out with a larger volume option.

  Tip

  It's great to use as a morning cleanser or together with cleansing water when removing makeup. The foam is soft, and I didn't feel like my skin's moisture was being stripped away at all. I highly recommend this over cleansers with stronger cleansing power.
