This foundation seems perfect for summer use! The coverage is excellent - it should conceal most blemishes and scars. I wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin, but it's great for oily skin types in summer! It's really, really drying. Because of the dryness, it doesn't look pretty when it breaks down. When I heard Kat Von D was available at Sephora, I bought it without hesitation. As expected, the coverage is great. The incredibly wide range of shades is both a pro and a con. You might find your perfect match, but with so many similar options, choosing a shade can be quite challenging! It's extremely drying, causing my makeup to severely crack and dead skin cells to flake off. I've tried mixing it with moisturizer, oil, and even Vaseline, but it just pills up instead of applying smoothly. I absolutely do not recommend this for those with dry skin. And the scent... I'm not sure whether to call it a fragrance or an odor. There's this lingering smell that seems to intensify as you blend the foundation all over your face. It's somewhat reminiscent of bad breath, but it's hard to describe exactly. It's just terribly unpleasant. I found that using it sparingly with a brush, dabbing it on like a concealer, works somewhat better due to its good coverage. If you've already purchased it, try using it as a concealer alternative. However, if you haven't bought it yet, I'd recommend reconsidering your options.
