Pros

When my skin was in chaos with flaky skin in the winter, I applied this and it calmed down in one go. This is my all-time favorite item, I'm on my third bottle.

Pros

I was really doubtful about whether this tiny thing could resolve the trouble, but I went to bed at night filled with distrust, and lo and behold, I woke up with a nasty case of inflammation. That inflammation is kind of swollen and puffy, and it's not really showing up on the skin, but when you touch around it, it's painful, you know? That stuff is all going in. Gosh, and the blackheads too... the blackheads are really gone, for real.

Cons

It's just so expensive and runny that every time I pump some, I'm like, 'Ugh, my money... oh no, my money...' But it's so effective that I end up applying it while crying...

Tip

When I apply it all over at night and go to sleep, I find my skin looking so clean the next morning... But it's so expensive, so I only use it at night, you know?

Pros

I've been to a skin care clinic that used Aveda products, and I really love the scents of Aveda products. When I apply Aveda products, it feels like I'm getting a healing experience because of the fragrance. The texture is a light, watery formula, so it's easy to apply morning and night. I haven't finished a bottle yet, but I've been using this product only in the mornings and using another moisturizing serum at night. When I wake up in the morning, I can definitely feel that my skin is more hydrated, and when I do my makeup in the morning, it absorbs well without any pilling or heaviness, so I'm very satisfied.

Cons

As it is a serum, the price is not exactly budget-friendly considering the volume... I think I'll have to buy it at the duty-free shop whenever I travel abroad. And while Aveda has a natural image, I was quite surprised after seeing the ingredients on Hwahae.

Tip

I'm using this in combination with the Aveda Botanical Kinetics Intense Hydrating Soft Cream (the name is quite a mouthful;;), and I think it's a great year-round duo.

Pros

On days when I had breakouts, I would just slather on lots of calming essence and go to sleep, and often I would wake up with my skin soothed in the morning.

Pros

As I have sensitive skin that can't tolerate just anything and gets irritated easily, this product for my acne-prone skin works well and I like it. It gives a glowing effect.

Cons

Pros

Instead of the Seven Skin Method, I applied this a few times and absorbed it, and my facial flushing has improved significantly. The flushing that wouldn't subside with anything I used has improved a lot, so I repurchased five bottles and am writing this review.

Cons

The thin formula can only provide limited effects, so I've been using it generously, applying it multiple times, and going through almost a bottle a month. This is my fifth repurchase since starting in April, yikes. While applying it multiple times does provide some moisture, it's not the level of hydration you'd expect from an essence. However, as a liquid base product, it does help prepare the skin to be firmer, which offsets that. The pump packaging is not great. Once it's half-used, the pump keeps rotating and squirting in different directions when I try to dispense it. I try to adjust the angle when pumping to avoid the liquid-less tube part, but then it still ends up squirting out. I've used six bottles and they've all been like this.

Tip

If you gently pat and absorb it multiple times, it can get quite hydrating. As long as you don't pat too hard, you can see effects on the flushing! If you pat too hard multiple times, it can cause physical flushing haha. Applying the Martina Gebhardt Avocado Eye Cream on the eyes and cheekbones is a pretty good combination. That eye cream is so rich that it seems to coat the Tula's moisture.

Pros

My skin has a lot of dead skin cells and breakouts that worsen depending on my condition! It's severely lacking in moisture, but has an excess of oil, so I really struggled when applying makeup. But after using this product, it's been greatly improved!! I applied it every morning before makeup and every night before bed. The watery, fluid-like texture means it absorbs quickly after cleansing, allowing me to then apply another moisturizer on top. I feel like my skin has absorbed so much more. And I used to just rely on strong, harsh spot treatments whenever I got breakouts, but using the Cica line has really calmed my skin down much faster! After using this as a long-term basic skincare, my makeup application has also improved a lot and looks great!

Cons

The fragrance is nice, but I know a lot of people really dislike it. And the price... ouch.

Tip

I used the same line's wedding cream about once or twice a week for around a month, and my skin became absolutely glowing! I was really amazed!! And applying it after thoroughly exfoliating in the shower worked the best for me. For exfoliation, I recommend the Aveda Radiant product - the long green tube.
