The color is pretty and beautiful, yes.. hahaha It's dry and wrinkly, and when I apply lip balm and lipstick, they don't go on well;; - st*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAug 31, 2017
I have a Ruby at home, but it's so matte that I went on a mission to find a similar color while carrying it around! ⭐️ This one was the closest match! The blog review says that the Mamonde Kissing You is the closest color, but when I compared it to Ruby on the back of my hand, the [True Color Lipstick 14] was the most similar! I was so happy that I bought it at the regular price - tears..ㅋㅋ {Summary: Ruby is extremely matte, so it has an intense pigmented swatch, but the True Color Lipstick has a slightly lighter swatch but a smoother application!} Compared to the lipstick itself, Ruby has a crazy clear pomegranate seed-like clarity, but it has a less clear feeling. When I applied it on my lips, my friend couldn't tell the difference! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, this is the one for you! ❤️ - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJul 6, 2017
First, I was really surprised by the great color! Since my lips are dry, when I apply a matte product, it emphasizes the flakiness a lot. But this is kind of in the middle of matte and smooth, so even when I left the lip balm and applied it, it went on smoothly without clumping. After eating oily foods or drinking beverages, when I tried to apply it to the inner part of my lips, it wouldn't go on. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the outer part of my lips applied well, but the inner part didn't, and that was a bit of a downside! - eo******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessMay 14, 2017
The color payoff is really great. As it's a matte product, the longevity is also quite good. The color is a red with just a hint of pink. There's almost no emphasis on dry patches. It's a bit drying and seems to settle into fine lines over time. - st*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessApr 1, 2017
I purchased it because the color payoff was so beautiful. It's matte but has excellent spreadability and gradients beautifully. Even though I have a lot of peeling skin, there's no emphasizing of the flakes!!! The longevity is terrible ㅠㅠ I didn't even eat anything, and it doesn't last an hour ㅠㅠㅠ If you apply it on the inner part and spread it out with your fingers, it becomes incredibly natural and pretty. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2017
I used to only buy lipsticks with orange-red or brown undertones, but recently I discovered that pink shades suit me well and bought one. Online, they're often just called 'red', but no, this one is more of a vibrant pink! I have a warm skin tone, and I was able to wear it comfortably without feeling self-conscious. As for the product itself, the color is great, and the overall advantages are that it applies smoothly and has a matte finish. The lipstick does tend to feather a bit, but regardless of the condition of my lips, it provides great color payoff. Even when my lips are dry, the color applies naturally and the gradient effect is nice. I don't really feel the need for a lip balm with this.😊 I highly recommend this to my friends. I'm writing this review after repurchasing it during a 50% sale. The feathering is an issue. If I accidentally close the case wrong, it really bothers me... and it tends to transfer a lot.❗️ It's fine if applied carefully, but still... 😞 The color payoff is great, but sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed by it. And before it sets, it can smear and transfer easily. But once it sets, it doesn't do that anymore. I don't apply it in one full swipe to get the intense color, but rather build it up by layering from the inner lips outward. Full-coverage doesn't suit me, so I often create a gradient effect. This product is great for that gradient look. Most importantly, I like to use a 'my-lips-but-better' shade from another brand as the base (since those shades work well for me even in full coverage), and then apply this on top for a classic touch. That really boosts the longevity. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 10, 2017
First, I liked it because the color was pretty and the pigmentation was good. It's a bit drying, so I have to apply lip balm. Also, the lipstick tends to clump up a bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 9, 2017
The color was so beautiful that I bought it, and when I applied it to my lips, it turned out to be a slightly pink-tinted red, which was the color I wanted. As for the staying power, it's fine as long as I don't eat anything, so the staying power is also good. Since my lips are a bit dry, if I don't take care of them the day before, there is a bit of peeling. However, if I apply lip balm and then the lipstick the day before, it applies beautifully without any peeling. - ho******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 5, 2017
Alright, let's start with 3 claps! 1. I'm not sure if I have rabbit teeth or if my upper lip curls in slightly when I smile, but you know that thing where lipstick gets on your front teeth after applying it? (And then you walk around for a while before realizing it when you look in the mirror... shatter the mirror.) Haha, that's not an issue at all... my savior..ㅠㅠㅠㅠ This is the best! 2. The staying power is great - even when it wears off a bit, it leaves a pretty stain on the lips. 3. It's definitely not a glossy lipstick, but it doesn't feel matte when applied. It glides on smoothly and leaves a soft, velvety finish! 4. The color is just so beautiful. Truly a true-to-color shade. Ah, there is one thing I'm a bit disappointed about - the case has a transparent top part, and the lipstick tends to get on that sometimes. (I don't know why, I don't even use that much, but it seems to happen more with the classic shades.) But the thing is... it's kind of tricky to clean off. If I leave it, it looks messy.. And trying to wipe it off with a cotton swab is a hassle - it just comes back after a few uses..^^.. I prefer not to apply it all over my lips from the start and then use a lip brush to get full coverage (the color is a bit intense for my liking). Instead, I dab it on my lips, building up the color gradually until my whole lip is evenly tinted. Then I'll go over the inner part of my lower lip with one more swipe. Mmm, so satisfying! These days, since it's winter, I like to first apply a layer of the Nivea Peach lip balm before doing this. That gives it a nice, subtly creamy finish. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 22, 2016
I used to only apply tint and not wear lipstick because my lips were dry. But the tint didn't have as vibrant a color as lipstick, so I was a bit worried. However, I happened to buy this and it's so moisturizing and the color payoff is great! The color is very similar to Shu Uemura's Modern Red, and while Shu Uemura's might be a bit better, this one is also absolutely wonderful~~~ Hmm... there's not much, but I really dislike dark colors, so I just dab this on my lips and then apply the 12th shade of Laneige Lip Tint on top. This one tends to bleed on its own, and when I cleanse my face in the evening and my lips get warmed by the water, a lot of flaky skin comes off. And if I just wear this alone, it causes flaky skin to form on my lips over time. I do have naturally very dry lips, though... Wearing this alone also gives a soft, fluffy feeling, and it's so pretty! For those of you with dry lips like me, I'd recommend applying Burt's Bees lip balm first, then this, and then a lighter tint - the tint's light color payoff will be boosted by this, and your lips won't feel dry.
