I love how the formula clings to my lips so perfectly! There's a slight color difference between Marsala and Cordovan, but they're quite similar! The staying power is a bit disappointing though. - lh*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 9, 2019
1. Absorbs beautifully When I applied it with one smooth stroke on the back of my bare hand, the lipstick color transferred perfectly. I've only tried dry formulas from MAC before, so I really appreciated this aspect. 2. Unique color 3. Distinctive case design 1. Nothing specific yet. The color is quite distinctive, which might be a bit bold for everyday wear. It would look lovely applied lightly over another lipstick or used alone for a gradient effect. In the photo, the left swatch is MAC's All Fired Up, and the right is MAC's Marrakesh. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 27, 2019
I first encountered MAC through their bullet lipsticks, but those require lip balm and end up cracking, clumping, and fading so quickly that I've abandoned them. On the other hand, the Lip Tensity series I stumbled upon is so moisturizing that I can wear it alone without any lip balm. It doesn't emphasize dead skin cells at all, and its staying power is incredible. I'm tempted to stick with this line exclusively. Marsal's shade is a bit deep, which was intimidating for someone like me who barely wears makeup, but it looks gorgeous when applied lightly. When it stains, it turns slightly pink, which is also beautiful. Please, everyone, skip the bullet lipsticks and get this instead! Absolutely nothing... Except perhaps that the Marsal shade might be a tad too deep. It works amazingly well when paired with MAC's Lip Conditioner. Highly recommend! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2018
The color is absolutely gorgeous, and the case is beautiful too. I really love it! There's nothing really negative to say, except it's a bit matte. But even that's not an issue if you apply a little lip balm before using it! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMar 21, 2018
Among MAC products, moisturizing lipsticks are rare, but this one is wonderfully hydrating. And the color is absolutely stunning. I tried it on in-store and made an impulse purchase. Everyone should buy this! For reference, I have cool-toned winter skin. There's not really anything... um... maybe the design isn't quite my style...? Hmm... nothing specific really... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 9, 2018
The color payoff is incredible! It's not overly moisturizing, which I like, and the staying power is surprisingly long-lasting. If it suits you, you'll absolutely rock this look! It's much more plum-toned than I expected. As time passes, it doesn't wear off gracefully. It tends to emphasize dead skin cells quite a bit. I'm not sure if it's because of the intense pigmentation, but it's very vibrant. It's deep but not dark, resulting in a very ambiguous shade. I have fair skin, and when I wear this lip color alone, it makes me look extremely washed out, so I haven't been able to use it. Apply lip balm first for a more natural and beautiful application! - so********Dry SkinAcne SkinDec 2, 2017
The lipstick has decent staying power and the color payoff isn't bad at all! It's a bit muted, so I found it a little heavy for everyday wear. I ended up mixing it with other products to make it work. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 10, 2017
More moisturizing than other MAC lipsticks. I love that it's not the typical bullet shape, which I personally dislike! While it's fairly ordinary, it's still good. The scent is slightly chocolatey, I think. The staying power is insane! It stays on even after going to the gym and washing my face. You'll need to use makeup remover to thoroughly clean it off. It won't come off with just cleansing foam. Once you apply it well initially, there's no need for touch-ups, which is great. It can smudge if not applied carefully at first. It's best to apply some Vaseline, wipe it off well, and then apply the lipstick. You can even apply lip balm over it for a natural look. However, after removing it, my lips feel a bit tight... Maybe because they're dry. Make sure to remove it thoroughly and apply a moisturizer afterward. Not recommended for daily use. Perfect for those days when you're feeling extra confident and want to show off your lips! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 3, 2017
First off, it's less drying than other MAC lipsticks! And I think the staying power is better too. The color payoff is beautiful, true to the shade in the tube. I bought this in autumn, and this Marsala shade was just perfect. Think of it as a Marsala with a hint of purple. Well... it feels moisturizing at first, but it seems to dry out a bit as time passes. On the flip side, it does have good staying power. Since my lips are very dry, I found this aspect a bit disappointing, especially when using it in winter. I think it would be great to use this along with a lip balm! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinFeb 1, 2017
I finally understand why people rave about MAC lipsticks! My lips tend to chap year-round, so I've always stuck to liquid tints because regular lipsticks would just scrape off my dry, flaky skin. But I decided to take the plunge and try this lipstick, and wow - this Marsal shade doesn't have that issue at all! Looking at the product, I thought the color was too intense for a full lip application. But once I applied it, the full lip look turned out to be mysteriously beautiful. My mom even said it's the prettiest color she's ever seen on me! Hmm, there's not really anything bad to say... If I had to nitpick, maybe the design? Personally, I wasn't a fan. I think it would've looked better if they'd made the entire tube black instead of matching it to the product color.
