There is a slight color difference between the Marsala and Cordovan shades, but they are quite similar! The longevity could be a bit better.

The formula glides on so smoothly and evenly on the lips, I love it!

I just swiped it on the back of my hand without any other product, and the lipstick color went on smoothly. I've only used MAC's drying formulas, so this was a nice change.

I first encountered MAC's bullet lipstick, but the bullet lipstick peels and clumps terribly when applied over lip balm, and it wipes off very easily, causing a lot of trouble, so I've just left the one I bought unused. On the other hand, the Lip Intensity series I happened to buy is so moisturizing that I can wear it alone without lip balm, with no visible flaking at all, and the staying power is also amazing, to the point where I just want to stick with this.
The Marsala color is a bit too deep for me, as I don't wear much makeup, but it looks beautiful when applied lightly. And when it stains, it turns a lovely light pink, which is also very pretty. Please, everyone, don't buy the bullet lipstick, get this one instead.

Over time, it doesn't fade nicely, and there's quite a bit of emphasis on flaky skin... I'm not sure if it's because the color payoff is so good, but it's very bold. It's not too dark, but the shade is very ambiguous... I have a fair complexion, and when I wear this lip color, it just looks way too intense, so I haven't been able to use it.

I wouldn't recommend this for everyday use. But if I'm having an 'off' day and want to feel extra confident, this is the lipstick I'll reach for!

If you don't apply it properly at first, it can bleed. It's best to apply a thin layer of something like vaseline first, then wipe it off well before putting on the lipstick. You can also top it with a lip balm, and it will still look natural.
However, after removing it, my lips do feel a bit tight. Probably due to dryness, so you'll need to make sure to moisturize well after taking it off.

This lipstick is more moisturizing than other Mac lipsticks. I also like that it doesn't have the bullet-shaped design that I personally dislike. The formula is quite standard, but it's still decent. And it has a slight chocolate-like scent.
The staying power is amazing! I can wear this, go to the gym, and even wash my face, and it still stays on. You'll need to use a makeup remover to thoroughly remove it though, as it doesn't come off easily with just a cleansing foam. As long as you apply it well initially, you won't need to reapply often, which is great.

Using a lip balm together would be a good idea!

I think I finally understand why people love MAC lipsticks! I tend to have chronically dry lips, so when I wear lipstick, the dry flakes end up scraping off the lipstick, so I've only ever used liquid tints. But this time I splurged and bought a lipstick, and this Marsala one didn't have that problem at all! The color looked really dark and bold when I just looked at the product, so I thought it would be too intense for a full-lip look. But when I put it on, the color ended up being so beautiful and subtle - my mom said it's the prettiest lipstick color I've ever worn!
