For those who might find the deep color challenging for everyday wear, here's a tip: Start with a dried rose lip color as a base, slightly overline your lips, then dab Dionysus on the inner part of your lips. The result is absolutely gorgeous! (It works beautifully with other muted colors too. I've tried it with a toned-down coral, and it looked fantastic as well.) This method got me through autumn and winter!

So far, there's nothing particularly negative to say... Apart from the price being on the higher side since it's MAC, I'm quite satisfied with it!

The burgundy shade is absolutely stunning! The packaging is easily recognizable at a glance. While it's not the smoothest in application, it's still quite good. I've been using it so well that I can't really think of any drawbacks.

The color payoff is intense and long-lasting. It looks absolutely stunning when applied in the center of your lips over a lighter base lipstick.

The intense pigmentation is both a pro and a con - if applied incorrectly, the color might make you look sickly.

The container looks like a deep brown, but the actual color payoff is a rich plum! The pigmentation is incredibly intense and long-lasting! Among MAC lipsticks, I find this one to be less prone to emphasizing dead skin cells or dryness (since MAC often has many matte products, though truthfully this one isn't particularly moisturizing either).

The disappointing part was that the actual size was smaller than I expected... However, since it's not really a daily wear shade, I think it will still last quite a while.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I finally tried the famous Dionysos... When I applied it to my lips, it looked more plum-like and purple than I expected from the reviews. What I loved most was that while the staying power isn't bad, the shine isn't excessive like a lip gloss. It has just the right amount of moisture and glow, which I appreciated even more than the color itself.

Among MAC's matte lipsticks, the Lip Tensity formula seems even more matte. However, of all the Lip Tensity shades I own, Dionysos appears to be the least matte.

It didn't apply smoothly, perhaps because my lips were dry. I think it would be better to apply some lip balm first. Also, like other lipsticks, if you don't touch it up, it creates lines on your lips... it almost looks like you've used a lip liner!

Since I work in customer service, I don't have much time to touch up my makeup. Yesterday, I applied it before work and didn't retouch it until I got home. The staying power is definitely impressive! While the intense color faded a bit from when I first applied it, it still maintained a nice, lively tint that lasted throughout the day.
