The burgundy shade is absolutely stunning! The packaging is easily recognizable at a glance. While it's not the smoothest in application, it's still quite good. I was worried the case might be too brown, but the deep, rich burgundy color is just perfect. I'm so pleased with it! Plus, it doesn't leave my lips feeling dry after application, which is great! So far, there's nothing particularly negative to say... Apart from the price being on the higher side since it's MAC, I'm quite satisfied with it! For those who might find the deep color challenging for everyday wear, here's a tip: Start with a dried rose lip color as a base, slightly overline your lips, then dab Dionysus on the inner part of your lips. The result is absolutely gorgeous! (It works beautifully with other muted colors too. I've tried it with a toned-down coral, and it looked fantastic as well.) The container looks like a deep brown, but the actual color payoff is a rich plum! The pigmentation is incredibly intense and long-lasting! Among MAC lipsticks, I find this one to be less prone to emphasizing dead skin cells or dryness (since MAC often has many matte products, though truthfully this one isn't particularly moisturizing either). I'm a bit late to the party, but I finally tried the famous Dionysos... When I applied it to my lips, it looked more plum-like and purple than I expected from the reviews. What I loved most was that while the staying power isn't bad, the shine isn't excessive like a lip gloss. It has just the right amount of moisture and glow, which I appreciated even more than the color itself. The disappointing part was that the actual size was smaller than I expected... Yes, this is my holy grail lipstick. When applied lightly, it gives a subtle blood-red tint, and when layered, it transforms into a deep, rich burgundy. Dionysos is simply love! Among MAC's matte lipsticks, the Lip Tensity formula seems even more matte. However, of all the Lip Tensity shades I own, Dionysos appears to be the least matte. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 9, 2017
The prettiest burgundy shade out there... For a matte lipstick, it doesn't crack your lips. It's like a really deep wine color If you apply it heavily, you might look ready for a Halloween party. If you apply it lightly, it turns out too bright. You need to be careful with the application

The vibrant color payoff and matte texture that doesn't dry out your lips are simply masterful. I apologize for buying this so late, oh great Dionysus! Why the 20-character minimum? It's killing my punchline! When purchasing offline (at department stores), be sure to check the stock availability at the specific store location.

There's not much to be disappointed about. If I had to nitpick, layering it on top can make the color look a bit dull. The color payoff is amazing and the staying power is pretty good too! What's more, when applied lightly, it gives a dewy, natural look - perfect for a no-makeup makeup look. It's also gorgeous when you're wearing full makeup. It's absolutely fantastic for fall and winter! Color payoff champion! It applies as a perfectly crisp, classic burgundy shade. When mixing with other colors, applying Dionysos to the inner lips creates a truly stunning look It fades unevenly, leaving a messy appearance. The deep color seems to make it look even more untidy as it wears off. So while the color is gorgeous, I hesitate to reach for it. If you have MAC Diva, you might be better off just applying it over lip balm
