It doesn't spread smoothly like a cream, but rather in a jelly-like or gelatinous clump that you have to apply to your face. But the moment it touches your skin, it melts away and gets absorbed. As someone with dry skin, I used this a lot in the winter. It creates a moisturizing barrier on your face? So normally, even if I apply a regular cream in the morning, my face still feels dry, but after using this and sleeping, my skin still felt hydrated.
